Was King Solomon schizophrenic when he gave this advice?
“The Lord is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous” (Proverb 15:29).
Here is an old joke:
“When you talk to God, we call it prayer, but when God talks to you, we call it schizophrenia.”
Here is an old saying.
“The reason God made us is because He loves to hear a good story.”
Here is a question.
Did the “top story of the week” in the news last week, draw God nearer or further from us and our nation?
Here are a few scientific facts and philosophic thoughts to ponder.
The closer you are to a person, the better you can hear what they say, or their prayers?
If we want God to hear our prayers, perhaps we need to draw closer to Him.
God left the choice to us whether or not we want to draw closer to Him.
Was King Solomon schizophrenic when he wrote these phrases?
‘The Lord is far from the wicked.” You decide based on the current news of our nation and world if we drew God nearer or further from us as a nation.
“He hears the prayer of the righteous.” You decide if God heard his prayer for wisdom when he was young and pure in spirit. Did God answer Him as stated in the Bible?
Based on His writings of wisdom which are still relevant today, and based on the top stories we read and hear about every day in the news all over the world, I recommend we need to pray for HIs wisdom.
What the world needs now in addition to love is wisdom.
Regards and good will blogging.
