I saw on a TV station this morning this question on a news banner. “Is the US winning the war against ISIS?” This question is erroneous in my opinion. Why?
In a previous post reference below, I explained how people draw other people into their problems same a cat uses their cat paws to drag their prey. In my opinion, the majority of the victims of terror are Muslims. Oh yes, Christians, Jews, etc. and innocents on 9/11 are victims too. However, by far, the majority of the victims who have and will continue to suffer the most casualties of terrorist have be Muslims in the Middle East.
The US will never win the war against ISIS in the Middle East. The Muslims themselves are the only ones who will the war when they get fed up with seeing their sons being manipulated by propaganda and demagoguery of sacred duty. It would be wiser if they would focus on their own lives as their sacred duty, not only for themselves, but for their family and their posterity, their trees of life.
Fight your own case with your neighbor, and do not reveal another’s confidences. (Proverb, 25:9)
Where your own interests are directly involved you should press your case with all the energy and skill you can muster and that you should carry the fight to the neighbors or friend with whom you have your disagreement. The point would then be that others should not be involved in your dispute and their personal relationship with your opponent compromise or impaired. There should be a direct and honorable confrontation, and resort should not be had to devious and cowardly maneuvers in which others are used as cats’ paws. The converse would then be that you should not consent to being so used, thereby divulging the confidences which another has reposed in you. (Proverbs Mc Kane)
There is another King Solomon Ecclesiastes wisdom saying about the power of unity to overcome the present terror in the Middle East.
Two are better than one.
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4)

One mistake is that we did not send enough missionaries with Bibles. Then the people in these Muslim nations would not see much point in joining with or supporting ISIS. Of course, the fact many Muslim nations do not permit Bibles within their borders tends to be a problem.
Another mistake is that we do not do a good job of teaching the Bible in this country. Then our people could set an example of good Christian behavior. Of course, the fact our public education discourages Bible teaching makes that difficult.
I don’t what the appropriate proverb might be, but what I am trying to say is that both the Muslims and us Americans have shot ourselves in the foot. We have blown off one, and we are starting on the other.

Your comments are both sad and true. We live in a mad mad world. King Solomon was right, no one ever born will ever either figure out God’s mysteries or make crooked what can never be straightened. I am glad to have faith that God has a plan and we all need to keep plugging along doing what he has revealed for us to do, find enjoyment in our lives and keep the faith, the future will someday be brighter than the past, same as light of the day is better than darkness of night.

Interestingly, a substantial number of children and young adults are walking away from
evangelical Christianity every year. Some believe it will soon reach a critical mass an numbers will not be able too be replaced.
This heartening news is bolstered by studies showing that non-religious children have
excellent morals and are generally more stable that their religious counterparts.
This is supported by the fact that less than 1% of 1% of the US prison population is atheist.
You can Google yes?
