Would King Solomon Kiss Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump on their lips?

“How do you tell when Trump is lying? His Lips are moving.”
It brought to my mind an ancient proverb about truth written by King Solomon. Actually he wrote a number of proverbs about truth probably because truth was a problem 3000 years ago, same as it is now.
He kisses the lips, who gives an honest reply. (Proverb 24:26)
This is just one of King Solomon’s numerous proverbs about truth and honesty problems he obviously encountered. I had wondered if this proverb was transposed wrong when it stated lips instead of cheeks. I believe now it was not. A kiss on the lips is a more passionate expression of love. I believe he used lips instead of cheeks to emphasize his passion and love for hearing truth and honesty when someone made a statement to him.
A skilled professional politician in our time will avoid admitting he or she lied because it might result in ruining their opportunity to be re-elected. So a different word is used to describe the methods used by politicians to hide an untruthful statement. The word is chicanery.
Definition of Chicanery Pronounced SHiˈkānərē,
- the use of trickery to achieve a political, financial, or legal purpose.
“an underhanded person who schemes corruption and political chicanery behind closed doors”
|synonyms:||trickery, deception, deceit, deceitfulness, duplicity, dishonesty, deviousness, unscrupulousness, underhandedness, subterfuge, fraud, fraudulence, swindling, cheating, duping, hoodwinking; More|
