Would King Solomon kiss President Trump on the lips for being honest and wise. Did he use the good guy, bad guy, negotiation tactic successfully?
In my previous post, King Solomon, A Wise Activist, I brought up the issue of NFL kneeling during the National Anthem brings about divisiveness rather than unity for a cause..
This news article about tonight’s’ football game states the Green Bay Packers will lock arms to demonstrate unity for the causes as stated..
Good Guy, Bad Guy Negotiation Tactic
This is often seen on TV in the good cop, bad cop routine that is often seen in police dramas. It can also be a subconscious pattern for parents, where one parent tries to impose discipline by demanding compliance after which the other seems to get it easily by gentle request.
What the good guy says often gives the target person an excuse to comply, allowing them to rationalize their action and retain dignity. Sometimes the person complies with the good guy as an act of revenge to ‘teach the bad guy manners’. (Source HERE)
King Solomon
Like a kiss on the lips is the one who gives an honest answer. ( Proverb 24:26)
The king shows favor to a wise servant, but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully. (Proverb 14;35)
In My Opinion
Kneeling during the National Anthem was shameful and foolish.
Regardless of what you may personally think about President Trump tactics, he is bringing about the end of a shameful practice by being honest about his personal feelings.

The flag and the national anthem are symbols of unity. When we STAND TOGETHER facing the flag with our hands over our hearts, we stand in respect for the unifying principles of our nation and the people who have defended them with the lives.
The players, coaches and staff will join together with arms intertwined are trying to have it both ways (both have and eat their cake). They want to demonstrate against something (whatever it is at this point) and still not be criticized for disrespecting our nation. Don’t think that is going to work. It is just too transparent that they are not even obeying their own rules.
Anyway, there is not much I can do about it. Never watched pro football. I enjoy playing sports, but I don’t possess the fascination that most people seem to have for watching other people play.

We, our family, are big football fans and owners of Bears sea.son tickets. Perhaps that is why we are so upset about players disrespecting the flag.
I agree that the only genuine way to express admiration and love for our nation and God during the flag and National Atheism ceremony is to place your hand over the heart and remove your hats.
I intend to address the reasons why in my next post after reaeding Anom’s comment. on your post.
Secular schooling is the culprit why children are not taught to love our country and our flag. The love of both nation and God should be a heartfelt display, without any compromises as you suggest, in my opinion.

It is ironic. One would think that a government-run school system would do its best to instill patriotism, but that has not happened.

Too much politics to try and please everybody in government run school systems at the expense of teaching character, virtue, and wisdom, in my opinion..
