Are the promises and news you read and listen same as faithful wounds from a friend or kisses from a deceitful enemy?

Two columnists’ articles in the Chicago Tribune bring the above question to my mind.

The first is in, What Others Are Saying, a Wall Street Journal article titled, Trump Keeps His Processors Promises, written by Bobby Jindal, explains why establishment politicians hate Donald Trump for fulfilling his campaign promises.

The second article is titled, Comey, Stephanopoulos eviscerate like intriguers, written by Johnhug Kass explains how the news media can be described as gossipy intriguers playing listeners to hate President Trump, sell a gossipy sour grapes book, or obtain news ratings.

Definition of intrigue

1a : a secret scheme

b : the practice of engaging in secret schemes

2: a clandestine love affair

King Solomon

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. (Proverb 27:6 KJV)

A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. (Proverb 16:28 NIV)

Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint. (Proverb 25:19)

For the lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil. (Proverb 5:3 KJV)

Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank. (Proverb 22:29}

Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer. (Proverb 24:26)

A wise man will hear and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. (Proverb 1:5 KJV)

What’s My Point?

You Decide

Then re-read the above proverbs and decide if you are being played by deceitful kisses from an unfaithful friend or lover. Namely politicians, news media, or an unfaithful servant in time of trouble, giving you the same pain as a broken tooth.

A Wise Person

A wise person who listens and hears must discern the truth of a kiss. Is the kiss he or she receives from a friend or lover either telling you the truth, gossip from an unfaithful perverse troublemaker, or by a harlot with honey lips feigning lovemaking, in order to profit.

In My Opinion

I personally am sick and tired of reading news articles from Trump Haters, whether they are bloggers, news media, or politicians.

Most Trump haters complain about his hair, tweets, style, sex life before he became President and the fact that he fires everybody who does not do what Trump expects them to do. Politicians cannot comprehend that in private business, if you don’t do what you are supposed to do, you get fired. Trump has no experience or tolerance for career politicians who cannot comprehend that when you are an executive in business, if you don’t do what you promise the CEO, you get fired for incompetency.

The election is over 16 months ago. Instead of complaining, let’s hear Trump haters plans and suggestions on what political candidates in the upcoming November elections would do better on specific issues than President.

For example, what would they do about immigration, border wall, terrorists, Syria poison gas, guns, Amazon taxes avoidance, business, deficit trade, crime, drugs, religion, abortion, MeToo, Jobs, wages, balanced budget, healthcare, etc. All I ever hear on the news is criticism of what Trump does as he promised and nothing about what they would do different.

One question we should consider before we vote, did your choice of politician do as he or she promised during their election campaign, or were they empty suit political predecessors of President Trump?

A wise voter will discern before voting instead of voting because they are sour grapes about their candidate losing in the last election, because of Russians, Comey, the weather, etc. etc.

In Other Words

What type of kiss is your friendly politician or news media pundit giving, or promising you?

Regards and goodwill blogging.
