Will legalizing pot make it easier or harder for minors to obtain?

The Chicago Tribune article, Canada 1st industrial nation to legal pot, contains Trudeau’s statement that is an unsound logic fallacy.

“It’s too easy for our kids to get marijuana.”

“Those caught selling marijuana to minors face stiff penalties up to 14 years in jail.”

Logic Fallacy

If something becomes more abundant, does it make it easier or harder obtain?

M is illegal, KMU is easy

M is legal

Therefore, KMU is hard

King Solomon

1The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:

2To know wisdom and discipline,

to comprehend the words of insight,

3to receive instruction in wise living,

in righteousness, justice, and equity,

4to impart prudence to the simple,a

knowledge and discretion to the young—

5let the wise listen and gain instruction,

and the discerning acquire wise counsel—

6to understand the proverbs and parables,

the sayings and riddles of the wise.

7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,

but foolsb despise wisdom and discipline.

In My Opinion

Whether pot is legal or illegal, minors will still obtain and use marijuana same as minors still obtain and use cigarettes.

Making marijuana more available, will only make marijuana more available to more minors.

Stiff penalties did not stop or win the war on drugs in the USA.

What needs to be done instead is to tell kids the medical truth about recreational marijuana.

Hopefully, the truth will impart knowledge that smoking marijuana fries their brains and turns them to act same as a fool.

In other words, teach them wisdom and knowledge, so that when they become adults, they will not despise wisdom and discipline, and proven the medical truth.

Instead of loving marijuana, they should learn to fear marijuana and fear that they are on their own instead of government subsidies to carry them from harming themselves.

Same as fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom, so is fear of what marijuana does to a person’s brain will be the beginning of wisdom.

A sound logic to decrease marijuana use is no buyers, means no sellers profit, whether the profiteers are criminals or governments.

Instead of advertising false claims about recreational marijuana that will certainly increase as profits increase, Government should advertise the proven medical truth about the effects of recreational marijuana use on both minors and adults.

It pays to advertise. Cigarette smoking in the USA is at an all-time low.

You Decide

Should Canada change the symbol from a maple leaf to a marijuana leaf to advertise their leaders logic fallacy?
