Is Nikki Haley’s advice to the anonymous OpEd wise or foolish?
The Chicago Tribune Perspective titled, A rebuke to anonymous when I challenge the President, I do it directly, reports her advice to the anonymous White House intriguer.
This same wisdom advice was given 3000 years ago by King Solomon in Proverbs along with a warning of what will happen to him or her when their identity is revealed.
King Solomon
Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: (Proverb 25:9)
Excerpt
Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself,…. Between thee and him alone; lay the matter before him, and hear what he has to say for himself, by which you will better judge of the nature of the cause; try to compromise things, and make up the difference between you,
Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away. (Proverb 25:10)
Excerpt
Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame,…. Or, “reproach thee” (c) with treachery and deceit. Either the person of whom it is told, or the person to whom it is told; who may make thee ashamed, either by fixing the odious character of a defamer, a whisperer, and backbiter, on thee; or by making a retaliation, and in his turn make known some secret things concerning thyself, which before were not known, and, now published, will be to thy disgrace;
What’s My Point?
Niki Haley explanation is wise advice being given to the fool OpEd. Her wisdom appears to me to be the same wise advice given 3000 years ago.
In My Opinion
The OpEd, as well as millions of others, need to read up and spend some time learning the meanings of wise advice. The OpEd apparently did not, and when found out, will be put to shame and turned away in disgrace from the company of the wise.
Same will happen to the NYT Editorial Staff in time for their foolish decision to publish a statement from a fool.
Regards and good will blogging.

Proverb Excerpts
I think you are completely missing the point. In typical Trumpian fashion you, like Trump, NEED to know the author for one simple reason.. to dredge up personal “evidence” to discredit what they wrote. Trump has always hated “anonymous” within even regular news reporting.. again, why? He can’t pick on the person, or even fire the person . People are trying to assign “He/she’s a hero” or “He/she’s courageous.” or He/she’s a coward.” That’s all irrelevant nonsense.
Point 1 – The NYT vetted the author and obviously knows the author’s status within the administration so they made the rare decision based on that to print the op-ed.
To me that carries a lot of weight as to credibility of the author themselves and that someone, the NYT, is credible enough who knows the identity. Pretty much, that’s all I need to understand the op-ed. Knowing the author changes nothing at this point.
Point 2 – Presuming, as I do, the importance of this individual to come out against the President , is by itself the entire take-away from this op-ed. The President is being judged by some close insider to be a threat to the nation. In modern times, what situation like this has ever happened before? And this op-ed being written about 2 weeks before the release Woodward’s book which presents the exact same situations inside the administration. The red flags are everywhere.
I think the author of the op-ed composed the editorial as a strategic and well thought out presentation. What does knowing who he/she is changes anything the person wrote?

In my opinion, the book writer had the courage to sign his name and reputation to his accusations.
The OpEd accuser should have done the same.
The NYT Editors should be reporting news, not gossip or its repudiation is the same as a “rag ‘ news source.
Anyone who writes something and does not assign their name should be label “coward” not antonymous by a news source.
However, if they live in a country or Chicago gang neighborhood, and they come forward as a witness, they may be shot before they go to court because they have to live in a gang territory.
IN othe rwords, the NYT is a part of a gang of discontents and intriguers trying to assassination the reputation of the President of the USA
kinda hypocritical to call their party name a derivative of Democracy, you agree?, .

I personally think it’s a fake, written by someone on NYT staff

Oh, Rudy.. c’mon. These things don’t stay secrets forever and very likely some dumb stunt like that would be found out and do a ton of damage to NYT credibility. It’s just flat out not worth the business risk.. and like all media, the Times exists to make money, and make a profit for it’s investors. You don’t risk that.

I don’t think they care anymore, they’ve lost all credibility with me. They’re singing to their own choir of similarly minded

Doug,
You hit the nail on the head with your comment, “and like all media, the Times exists to make money, and make a profit for it’s investors,”
In other words, the Editors are a bunch of lackeys who will say anything to please their bosses instead of journalists..
In College, a journalist is taught to provide news and information so voters can make wise decisions for when they vote for the good of their country,
Kinda makes the NYT Editors out to be “traitors” which is what President Trump stated, in my opinion.
Regards and good will blogging.

Reblogged this on Citizen Tom and commented:
Rudy has a good commentary on Niki Haley’s reaction to that stab in the back News York Times OpEd. This is the Op-ed written by someone who is supposedly a Trump administration insider.
Doug’s comments, which follow immediately after Rudy’s post, make that post even more interesting. We wonder. Why would anyone defend that stab-in-the-back New York Times Op-ed?
When we sin, we have three options.
1. We can repent. We can admit our guilt. That requires humility and faith in God.
2. We can defend our behavior. The more shamelessly we can do this the more believable we will be. This option requires faith in Man, especially our self.
3. We can pretend sin, treachery in this case, does not matter. When we say “everyone does it”, our defense is that it does not matter because everyone does it. Here we count upon the “fact” that no one will hold us accountable.
Democrats are defending their behavior. That is because destroying Trump and crushing his agenda matters so very much to them. Therefore, they have lied and deceived shamelessly. The writer of that New York Times Op-ed serves as just one small example.
As a nation we should be highly concerned. When supposedly respected and responsible newspapers enthusiastically provide a platform for shameless liars, that’s a sign that we too have become shameless.

Thanks for your reblog and pertinent comments on this issue.
Our founders of our once great Nation signed their names and risked their lives and possessions by boldly identifying themselves as being courageous, not cowards, in my opinion.
Notice, I stated once great Nation.
