Interested in discerning why this State and others have a tea drinking problem?
The Chicago Tribune headline, Emanuel sees a need for legal weed, reports two tax recommendations he recommends before his departure as Mayor of Chicago because he is not running in the next year election.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to give some simple reasons why Illinois politicians and workers need tea instead of pot to solve State money problems. Also, included, will be examples of simple reasons why voters to read, listen, and discern why Illinois is literally and figuratively going to be served pot by legislators and workers because they refuse to drink tea.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: (Proverb 1:5)
However, when Solomon came to power, he instituted so many building projects the foreigners couldn’t handle all the construction on their own, so Solomon demanded the Jews give their time. By the time Solomon’s reign came to an end, the Israelis were sick of the excessive tax burden.
That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there anything of which it may be said?
“See, this is new”?
It has already been in ancient times before us. (Ecclesiastes 1:9,10)
What’s My Point?
Illinois is already one of the highest taxed States in the USA.
The question on the voter referendum was, should recreational marijuana tax funds be used for schools? Illinois has not even enacted the law to approve recreational marijuana and already the funds are being suggested to pay for the deficit Illinois pension funds.
The new elected Governor wants to change Illinois taxes to incrementally make higher earning people pay higher taxes.
In the meantime, in France, people are rioting against increasing gas taxes, which is one of Emanuel’s proposals. European countries that approved recreational marijuana are having problems with more potent drug addictions and increasing their police forces to attempt to control drug problems.
My point is Illinois politicians and workers are not very articulate listeners because their tea cups are too full to recognizes Illinois money problems can be solved if only, they would discern the reasons why Illinois is presently over 133 billion dollars in debt before the State declares bankruptcy, in spite of laws stating the State cannot declare bankruptcy.
The simple solution is to listen to the reasons how and why and make changes to reduce spending that are out of reasonable proportion for Illinois workers to Illinois residents, and the numbers of government workers in the majority of other States in our Nation.
When it comes to local taxing bodies and local property taxes, Illinois is an extreme outlier in comparison to the rest of the nation. We rank first in number of local taxing bodies, with 6,963, and have the second-highest property tax rate in the nation. But this isn’t news for Illinois residents who have looked…
By contrast, the maximum annual benefit a private-sector retiree who retires at age 67 can receive from Social Security is $32,000. … In all, 53 percent of the over 213,000 state retirees in Illinois can expect to receive lifetime pension benefits of more than $1 million. Jan 3, 2015
More than 12,000 state retirees receive annual pensions of over $100,000 for lifetime payouts that average $3 million.
In My Opinion
In spite of the Constitution of Illinois that by law the State of Illinois cannot declare bankruptcy, the Supreme Court has never ruled in agreement.
What will happen it time is like Detroit; Illinois pensioners will have to accept lower pensions.
As for listening, perhaps both Illinois Politicians and Workers need to read about what is happening in France as taxpayers’ revolt against raising their gas taxes.
As for what happened to Detroit pensioners, in the Source links below is an article for them to discern.
However, most people will ignore this Post and the King Solomon above advice because, as king Solomon predicted in other words, every new generation will do the same foolish mistakes as previous generations.
In other words, we humans will never wise up. We will keep raising taxes until the taxpayer rebel and then start all over again instead of listening to the advice to advise experiencing the sad results and experiences of previous generations and governments, especially about debt and taxes.
Sadly, King Solomon wrote his advice 3000 years ago and we humans just won’t listen because our tea cups are full of folly of our own making.
In the Source Links below are numerous articles for readers to discern. Also, the Post to explain the relationship to tea and listening.
Regards and good will blogging.
