Has the USA Congress lost touch with reality?
The Chicago Tribune today has seven articles about current issues in Congress.
1.US budget defect up 77 percent,
2. Border detentions jump 31 percent, busiest since 2007
3. House Dems target Trump’s taxes
4. Drug Prices for Insulin Prices Canada $38, USA $329
5, Senate panel warns of anti-vaccine risks
6. Alabama tornadoes
7. Senate litmus test to scrap filibuster
Definition of “Psychotic”
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) defines someone who is “psychotic” as out of touch with reality, likely experiencing false beliefs, known as delusions, or false sights or sounds, known as hallucinations. So, when do depression and psychosis go hand in hand?
Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1:17 NLT)
What’s My Point?
With all the above problems in our Nation that need attention; broke financially, broken borders, broke drug prices, broke infrastructure, broke health care, broke climate, etc. problems, our Congress is fixed on debating about overriding President Trump’s National Security. When in reality, Congress should be debating how to fix these problems which continue to weigh on the USA.
For example, the one article states immigrants all know the vulnerability of the law and now bring a child when crossing the border so as to be freed to wander the USA until a case hearing now in excess of 800,000.
Another article makes me wonder why Americans pay one cent higher for the same drug than Canada?
In My Opinion
Congress is sick and in needs to awaken from a comatose psychotic “state” of being out of touch with reality of issues plaguing our Nation.
King Solomon observed this same condition 3000 years ago which he described as “madness and folly.”
When will Congress wake up from comatose or psychotic present state?
Are some members in Congress in need of psychiatric and medical help to awaken them to reality that the USA needs to resolve rather than create more divisiveness in our Nation?
Would perhaps a first step be to make all members in Congress begin by be required to pass an Anger Management Course?
It has been 3000 years since King Solomon observed the need for wisdom, when will we wise up?
Is the reality problem in Congress based on a psychotic or Folly condition?
