Will slowing down legalized marijuana ever make the law good if the end result is bad or evil to begin with?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Illinois should take the slow road on marijuana, reports why legalized marijuana laws in other States are not as good as the legislators planned to accomplish for their communities.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to question the wisdom of believing passing a law to make something good result from something foolish or evil will ever be wise?
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end, it leads to death. (Proverb 16:25)
Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good. (Proverb 17:13)
I (wisdom) instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. (Proverbs 4:11)
What’s My Point?
Proponents of legalized recreation marijuana believe they can profit in their communities from the sale of marijuana instead of criminals. They actually believe they can make something good result from promoting something that is medically known to have detrimental effects on the people they represent in their communities’
In other words, they believe their community will benefit by passing a law which supposedly result in criminals leaving their communities by making it easier to make available a drug which: in the end, it leads to death” sooner over time to the members of their communities.
Whether the Spiritual or physical death results from brain matter, auto accidents, lung cancers, gateway to more potent drugs, etc.etc.
In My Opinion
Legalized marijuana will result in making bad habits more available to a community. Over time, more people using the drug for recreational purposes will result in higher risks of more people being “lead to deaths” of both mind and body.
In other words of another idiom, if something is bad, it should be recognized as bad, not good.
Or, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is a duck
Bad is bad is bad no matter how loud a proponent legislator “quack “that it is good.”
Is legalized recreational marijuana a path a parent would recommend for their children to take while following their path of life?
