Interested in an analogy of sea urchins, sluggards, and/or California politicians?

The Chicago Tribune article titled, Swarm of Purple Sea Urchins wreaks destruction on West Coast, reported the ecological and environmental invasion of purple urchins.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to wonder if the current invasion taking place in California is because voters elected sluggard politicians?

Analogy Definition for Purpose of this Post (Merriam Webster)

a thing which is comparable to something else in significant respects.

King Solomon,

I went past the field of a sluggard,
    past the vineyard of someone who has no sense;
31 thorns had come up everywhere,
the ground was covered with weeds,
and the stone wall was in ruins.
32 I applied my heart to what I observed
and learned a lesson from what I saw:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
34 and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.

What’s My Point?

In a previous post, the subject of how plastic bags are polluting oceans and destroying kelp growing in the oceans is upsetting the balance of nature.

For example, sea otters who fed on sea urchins populations were a balance how animals were a nature balancing to protect kelp growing along the California shores before humans decimated their populations for profit..

Sea kelp is also a major balance of how plants such as trees absorb carbon to reduce greenhouse gases same as forests. Climate changes are warming the oceans to contribute to destroy kelp.

Meanwhile forests are burning in California. California has the largest number of homeless people in the USA, etc. etc.

My point is while at the same time the invasion and destruction has occurred, the only news I read and hear California politicians and a majority of voters seems to be a focus of their time, energy, and taxpayer funds trying to impeach President Trump.

In My Opinion

The analogy of comparison of California politicians to purple urchins is because they seem to have “folded their hands” to address the ecological and pollution problems in their State, and our Nation and planet.

Perhaps Same as numerous other sad destructive and divisive social issues eating away in California, our Nation and our Planet?

Perhaps wreaking destruction and thievery result described in the above proverb verse, “and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man”.

You Decide

Is the analogy a wise of foolish significant comparison of purple sea urchins destructive feeding to politician sluggards destructive feeding and wasting their time and taxpayer’s money?
