…. “Both parties want to spend like there’s no tomorrow?”
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Democrats and Republicans don’t disagree on everything, reports a columnist opinion:
“But they happen to be in perfect accord when it comes to being financially reckless.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to question the wisdom of our national leaders to run up the now revised 23 trillion-dollar National Debt. If it is indeed reckless as the columnist opines, what is his recommendation of a wise course of action to stop or control the recklessness?
How does it compare to the Biblical Wisdom suggestions presented in this post?
When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order. (Proverb 28:2)
What’s My Point?
Listening to Presidential Candidates proposing massive new spending programs in a Nation in Debt for 23 trillion dollars should be of concern about the wisdom, discernment, and knowledge of both leaders and voters in the USA.
For example, the plan being proposed to provide Medicare for all by requiring companies to divert the funds they now pay for their employee’s medical benefits to the government will certainly destroy incentives for people to work in order to receive or be able to afford to medical insurance.
Also, companies will in time have no incentives to attract employees to work at their computes and destroy competition for employers to offer better benefits to attract the best employees.
Same as previous Socialist countries tried and failed in the past.
My point is the people in government making these recommendations are more than likely be long-term politicians working in government, or utopia dreamers without working knowledge and experience in private business that have to balance budgets and accounts to avoid bankruptcy.
In My Opinion
I have made a suggestion in a previous post to tax the people who will never complain about taxes.
Read my suggestion that no tax payer will ever complain about and another blogger post recommendation about balancing the budget titled Americas Ticking Time Bomb. Also, about incentives based on Solomon’s advice in the Source Links below.
Wise or foolish advice or suggestions.
If you do not agree, what would be your recommendation and which political party will you vote for in 2020?
Which political party is now in control in the House of Representatives who have the authority and responsibility to approve a taxpayer funding?
Which party is more “rebellious” and presently preventing the new proposed trade agreement with Canada and Mexico from being approved?
Which political party is probably influencing China to delay making a new trade agreement by hoping President Trump will be impeached or not elected in 2020?
Since both political parties have run up the National Debt in the past twenty years, will pointing fingers to blame do anything to reduce the National Debt and the reckless spending before it is too late. Too late as explained and predicted in the post below about the ticking time bomb, of the consequences of a “no tomorrow?”
Regards and goodwill blogging.
