…help their Friends (constituents, readers, listeners,) to pull themselves up, or fall deeper into the folly pit?

The Chicago Tribune article titled, Navigating recreational pot landscape, answered a series of questions for their readers to answer everything a person needs to know how to locate and buy recreational pot to help them fall into the pit…

… except the article omitted to answer questions only a good friend or brother would advise about the findings of the CDC, Center for Disease Control, medical scientific answers. That being that 1 in 6 adolescents under the age of 21, or 1 in 10 adults who engage in the use of recreational marijuana will be susceptible to walk through a gateway to become hard core drug addicts.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to question the wisdom of politicians and news media wisdom and their failure of duty and responsibility to promote recreational marijuana use and not warn their friends of the danger of the Pot Pit that can bite them same as if they dig into a wall or snake pit hole and get bit by a snake.

King Solomon

Whoever digs a pit may fall into it; whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake. (Ecclesiastes 10:8)

Gils Excerpts Bible Hub

teaching men to be wise and cautious, lest by their conduct they bring mischief upon themselves; as it often is, the one that digs a pit for another, falls into it himself, as the wise man’s father before him had observed,

and whoso breath a hedge a serpent shall bite him; which often lies hid in fences, in old walls, and rotten hedges

A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer {q} than a brother. (Proverb 18:24)

(q) That is, often such are found who are more ready to do pleasure, than he that is more bound by duty.

What’s My Point?

The Chicago Tribune answers a total of 13 questions ranging from “Where can I buy marijuana?” to “Does marijuana ever go on sale?”

However, the article omits the information that a good friend or brother would give as a duty or responsibility of a friend or brother.

Information that the USA government tax paid agency gives to any interested reader about the proven scientific medical findings that taxpayers paid to help guide them from falling into various medical ‘pits’ of folly.

My point is the Chicago Tribune could have easily added the information if they had any regard for the same responsibility and duty of a friend or brother in their family or community.

In My Opinion

The Chicago Tribune and every politician who vote to support the sale of legalized recreational marijuana and omit the same type of health warnings sold on every package of cigarettes than has hastened the deaths of millions of Americans over time,

Is not a true friend of their constituents, readers, or listeners.

If Interested

Read the articles in the Source Links below. Note I have omitted the Chicago Tribune link because of a King Solomon Wisdom Proverb.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings (responsible, dutiful leaders). (Proverb 25:2)

You Decide

Is the Chicago Tribune and/or, your political representative, a good friend who will warn you to prevent falling into a pit of folly, or help pull you out as explained in the source link below?
