Is that possible?
A Citizen Tom post titled: When is the Right Time for Forgiveness, contained a King Solomon verse about times in life.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate King Solomon observations made 3000 years ago to the present time and state of affairs in USA politics when Pelosi and Trump no longer shaking hands in public. In other words, what wisdom advice could have prevented these two politicians to become enemies.
King Solomon
When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverb 16:7)
When a man’s ways please the Lord, As they do when a man walks according to the rule of his word; when he walks as he has Christ for an example; when he walks after the Spirit, and not after the flesh; when he walks by faith, and does all he does in faith; without which it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6; and when all his ways and actions are directed to the glory of God;
he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him; as Abimelech with Isaac, Esau with Jacob; and the enemies of the church and people of God with then, in the latter day, Revelation 3:9.
Cherish her (Wisdom), and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. (Proverb 4:8)
What’s My Point?
King Solomon’s above wisdom proverbs gave advice to discern this question before we act, Will our actions please the Lord?
This begs the question, which one, Pelosi or Trump political actions or agendas would not please the Lord?
For example, Two Questions to Discern
Which political agenda believes that killing an unborn child, will please the Lord?
Which political agenda believes that the rich should not be concerned about the poor in our Nation and World?
In My Opinion
King Solomon’s following verses in Ecclesiastes 3:5 about time will continue to repeat in every new generation as history has recorded since the beginning of time.
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
Excerpt
To cast stones out of a field or vineyard where they are hurtful, and to gather them together to make walls and fences of, or build houses with; and may be understood both of throwing down buildings,
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing
Excerpt
“to be far from” (g) it; it may not only design conjugal embraces (h), but parents embracing their children, as Jacob did his; and one brother embracing another, as Esau Jacob, and one friend embracing another; all which is very proper and agreeable at times: but there are some seasons so very calamitous
and distressing, in which persons are obliged to drop such: it is true, in a spiritual sense, of the embraces of Christ and believers, which sometimes are, and sometimes are not, enjoyed,

You Decide
Which choice of politicians in 2020 “will please the Lord? “
Which choice of political agenda in 2020 “will please the Lord?”
If everyone emulated King Solomon’s wisdom advice, and Jesus Christ’s philosophy of love in life, would there be less time needed to forgive enemies, and more peace in our Nation and World?

Sometimes it is best to contemplate questions, even questions we have already considered. We don’t always know as much as we think we do.

These days I tend to believe that pleasing myself is the avenue I take to please the Lord given I was created in his image. Life itself is the gift, and until suggested otherwise by fact, I prefer to assign my faith toward that which dictates my behavior with others in carrying out the Golden Rule. So I have no belief that there’s some extrapolation of God’s implied preference on something, which to Him must be insignificant in the grand scheme of humanity, as political preference in our current affairs. I do know this much…. each side of any conflict has the feel and belief that God (or their god) is on their side. It’s best we stop this divide-without-compromise, this, it’s-my-way-or-the-highway, mental justification that I am right and that makes you wrong. in not only our politics but also our tolerance of other religions.
I can go on and on.. but what I believe should not one bit influence others. We all have to find our own moral center.
If you ask me, to solve the “problem” of abortion one must first accept that there IS a problem to solve…. and, if a problem, where does this problem fit in with all the other problems of man? I do know this… first… compared to all other forms of death to befall mankind… abortion doesn’t rank but a minute percentage. Second, God (or your supreme being of choice) has created the natural instincts of man… or more directly, a woman, to a) not desire an abortion and b) suffer the emotional guilt and inner turmoil following a desire to abort, or following the unwanted chance of miscarriage. To me, the checks & balances are in place.. therefore the current numbers of those desiring abortion have reached a personal desperation of choice.
The national debt? The Republicans .. real, original Reagan Republicans, used to care about the national debt. But the poles are reversing these days. Do I want God to bail us out of national debt? Honestly, if we assign God being as omnipotent as He is alleged to be.. I would prefer His attentions devoted to more important humanity issues. It’s like as a child praying for a new bicycle…. as if God were some divine Santa Clause. I am sure God gave us the tools for solving our own political issues.

Thanks for yourr. omments. .
In my opinion. we have all the remedies avail able to us to avoid paths that cause most of our our problrms.
Most problems occur when we choose not to read instruction or follow the sign posted on the path.
Problem is when we don’t follow the path trail instructions.
For, example, abortion is killing. When we chose to believe otherwise, we mislead the path instructions.
