Ancient price gouging returns ‘under the sun’ in the USA.
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Coronavirus sparks surge of price gouging complaints in US, reports on the sad facts of whet is taking place in communities.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to convey an ancient proverb to remind the price gougers that when this sad affair ends, that your customers will always remember you to be the most hated stores and members in your communities.
People curse those who hoard their grain, but they bless the one who sells in time of need. (Proverb 11:26)
What’s My Point?
Gouging people in times of famine or crisis is nothing new as the above proverb written 3000 years ago.
However, in our contemporary world we have faster means to communicate the names of price gougers. And instead of just cursing them, we can spread the news so when this crisis ends, they will in all likelihood continue to be cursed out of business.
In MY Opinion
Sellers only need to limit the number of a person can buy instead of price gouging them.
News reporters should make public and report the names and instances,
And people who report fake news should keep in mind they too will be cursed and remembered.
