What is a practical and prudent face mask to make or buy during the pandemic?
Confused what a N95 or KN95 or what mask material to make or buy?
The Purpose of This Post
Is to provide wise information about breathable masks materials effectiveness to protect against infrectious aerosol droplets as we work or play now that quarantines are being relaxed?
King Solomon
Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights. ~King Solomon | Proverbs 18:15 (The Message Bible)
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (Proverb 22:3)
What’s My Point?
In a previous post article reported that N or K95 rated masks were tested by the CDC and 7 out of 11 failed the specifications.
Since there is still no cure or vaccine yet available, we will need to wear masks if we are prudent and do not want “to pay the penalty.”
I have used an old N95 mask I had on hand to enter any store and because of my personal health problems find difficulty using the mask. Since I am retired, I no longer will have to spend long hours wearing a mask.
For those that do, and many have health problems, going back to work will be a fearful experience.
In My Opinion
After reading all the source materials, I am going to use an old silk tie as an outer layer over a high tread cout cotton for my home made mask. And if it is windy outside or I am riding a bike, , I will wear a plastic face shield.

Should we complain because, as bad as it is today, just imagine what the WWII generation had to experience to be wise and prudent to survive?

I always enjoy the scriptures and your insight. Personally, my 18″ square bandana is doing me just fine….I’m so blessed – no health issues and personally, I’d prefer to not wear one. BUT now some stores insist. I’m thankful my husband balances me out. He is a germaphobe and said it’s about time everyone started learning to wash their hands, stop shaking hands and he is loving wearing his mask!!! LOL
