Is it possible to detect the oxygen content in political promises?

The song title ‘Killing Me Softly with His Words’ was a popular hit song. The words have various interpretations of the meanings of the verses.

Frankly, because of my physical conditions, I carry an oxygen meter with me that I can put my finger into the device to determine my current level of oxygen.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient proverb to the song title and above question how to detect the oxygen in political promises during an election year.

King Solomon

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. (Proverbs 18:21)

What’s My Point?

We are reading and hearing in the current news political promises by various candidates and political parties.

What we are not obtaining though is the oxygen content of the promises that is necessary for the promises to bear fruit.

And to determine if the manner of growing the fruit will kill us softly by removing another form of oxygen from within us.

My point is to recommend how to determine which political promises in our contemporary times are going to be empty suit political promises because their promises lack oxygen, or will result in “killing us softly with his words?”.

In My Opinion

The next time you read or hear a political promise, ask the politician how he intends to pay for his or her visions, plans, or political promises.

In my opinion, when you hear his or her answer, you will be emulating the same thing I do when I stick my finger in an oxygen meter to determine the oxygen content of their vision, pleas, or promises.

In other words, you will put your finger on a way to measure whether you are listening to another politician’s empty suit promise being made in order to become elected.

Or you will put your finger on how they plan kill you softy with their words by increasing your taxes, another form of removing form of your oxygen.

You Decide

Will the question posed. “how do you intend to pay,” a wise or foolish question?

Is your candidate performing for you by singing a song softly to instill strong emotions to inspire your innermost thoughts and wishes?

In the 2020 election, will your candidate have sufficient oxygen to bear the fruit of their promises or will their promise rot on the vine same as a host of former political promises of change made by previous empty suit politicians or political parties?
