Are the Social Justice marchers running in the wrong direction to obtain change?
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Today’s Social Justice movement was born out of anger, not hope, reports a columnist view which included this statement.
“Change is often fleeting, whether obtained by peacefully or by force. But the loudest protestors get the most attention.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb about hope and to pose a question to the football player who picked up a fumbled ball and ran in wrong direction to cause a change in the score, for the wrong teammates.
King Solomon
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverb 13:12)
Excerpts
and give up all hope of enjoying the desired blessing; whether it be deliverance from any evil, or the possession of any good;
and it was hoped for on a good foundation,
What’s My Point?
The columnist, if I understand her message is that people rioting are angry and their hearts are sick because the changes, they desire are not taking place as they hoped for are not coming to fruition by peaceful methods.
The ancient proverb observation was written 3000 years ago explains the same message. The message of hope and change of both Martin Luther King Jr, and the American Revolution that all men are created equal has been deferred too long.
My point is to wonder if the anger is being perhaps misdirected against the police instead of the real source of their angst. Namely the politicians and real culprits who have been profiting off of their circumstances.
In My Opinion
While I agree a lot of hopes have been deferred and I personally have compassion for their anger, I wonder if their anger should be directed against the real culprits.
Some examples,
The gangs selling drugs that serve to enslave drug addicts and profiting from the hopelessness of people living without hope.
The politicians who refuse to allow the parents to choose schools that teach their religious values, their choice of a foundation.
Is there any truth in the statement? Black parents love charter schools and voucher-supported private school vouchers because they teach values, self-respect, and hope. But no, if this option for poor or lower-income parents has more Democrat opposition than ever.”
The politicians who allowed their factory jobs to be outsourced to other countries that resulted in livable wage jobs than many came from the South to the North to escape poverty. As the jobs left in came the poverty and jobs that paid minimum wages.
In other words, everyone knows the police have good and bad in their communities of police, same as every race, color or creed has good and bad in their communities.
One way to get rid of the politicians is to vote them out. The way to get rid of the gangs selling dope and shooting each other and innocent victims is to direct anger against them, either too or in addition to the good and bad in every community.
Directing anger by destroying private businesses in any community is not going to solve poverty.

Wise or foolish directions to obtain change to the foundations needed to instill freedom, justice for every race, color, and creed as both envisioned by USA founders in their revolution in their times when they directed their anger against a despot ruler.

Good thoughts bright up. Too many of the protesters are mad and not thinking of reasonable ways to make change but rather fighting against the authorities in charge. We need to be focused in the direction we put our anger and not every direction which causes chaos and destruction.
