How does any voter discern how to trust a politician’s information in Illinois or any State?

I read a Citizen Tom post yesterday titled: Tempest in a Teapot which contained an explanation of the difference on misinformation and disinformation regarding a Bill in California and the concerns of pedophile.

This morning I read a Chicago Tribune article titled: Griffin pushes against a rate tax, which contained this statement.

“They also contend the higher tax rates will eventually creep down to the lower tax brackets.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient wisdom proverb and an idiom about who to trust in government and what is QAnon?

King Solomon

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverb 4:23)

Excerpt

The mind from vanity, the understanding from error, the will from perverseness, …….

What’s My Point?

When it comes time to vote, many voters may not do what King Solomon advised about be diligent on who to vote for or investigate the truth of what they are promising or what the media is spreading, whether the truth or propaganda about the opponents and issues.

Politicians and news media know this when the present a barrage of political advertisements or news articles in spurts that lead into crescendo in the weeks and days before an election.

My Point is to recommend what a voter should consider the issue of trust about a political candidate or a referendum being presented to him or her before they vote.

In My Opinion

In Illinois, consider how the Legislators Planned how to pass the legalized marijuana referendum to the public. For example, the referendum originally presented stated “Do you approve the sale of legalized marijuana funds to be used for school education.”

The legislations after approval of the referendum allocated less than 2 percent to school funds.

In other words, in Illinois, should you trust voting for someone or on an issue of taxes to change to tax ceiling to be eliminated and believe the same politicians will not later “creep down to lower tax brackets.”

In my opinion, too many people become victims of  tempests in a teapot issues being presented to them to believe in their heart that higher income earners should pay more taxes, but sadly find out later that the issue they voted for believing it does not affect them, wind up being affected.

As for the subject of pedophilia or drug addiction how many parents later found out that their child became a victim?

If the king Solomon proverb about diligence is not sufficient, perhaps this idiom should be considered by voters who to trust to represent them and decide on governing issues.

Idiom

Where there is smoke there is fire.

Meaning

Where is some indication of a problem or wrongdoing, such a thing probably occurred or exists?

In other words, when it comes time to vote, consider yourself to be a fireman and douse water on both the people and issues you know is based on t misinformation and disinformation and past performance while in office.
