Ever have a ‘now if only’ thought entered your mind?
The Chicago Tribune article titled: After 6 months and 21 M free meals served, CPS not planning to let up, reported some reasons why school authorities decided that children learn better if they have food in their stomachs.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate ancient wisdom verses and the idiom thought to how school progressives managed to add food as an essential need in the lives of our children, and ‘now if only’…………?
If Only Idiom Meaning – Merriam Webster

King Solomon
Which yet my soul seeks…
What’s My Point?
Progressive teachers and legislators understood the wisdom of life that every child has a body that seeks food to survive.
Sadly though, they still fail to understand that every child in life also has a soul that also seeks a food to survive…
In My Opinion
One thousand years after wise King Solomon above verse was written, another verse was written and recorded in the Bible.
“It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)
“Now if only “the progressives’ legislators and teachers would understand the need for the soul and agree to school choice and school vouchers.
In my opinion, we would be reading about a lot less folly, and crying, and more about wisdom and smiling, after reading the news.

Amen! Awesome post. Here where I live we’ve been trying to share some of that same wisdom with those in leadership. Perhaps even more important than food and our physical health, is the health of our souls. Everybody loves to feed children and we should, it is just that they go out into the world now facing abuse, drug addiction, mental health issues, suicide. violence. You just can’t fix those things with food, you need some spiritual food, some nutrition for your soul.
