What does the Old Testament vs. the New Testament share in common about being Dead while we are alive?

In our contemporary times we are witnessing Hollywood popular depictions of zombies being resurrected from graves and walking among us?

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate Old Testament proverbial to Old New Testament Biblical meaning of the Wisdom in regards to being dead while still alive “under the sun,” Or in our contemporary times to compare our Spiritual being as being similar to the current popular depiction of being walking zombies.

King Solomon

“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. As well their love, as their hatred and their envy, is perished long ago; neither have they any more a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun” (9:5,6 – ASV).

What’s My Point?

I read a Christian blog which explains in essence that either not believing or willfully not obeying the Commandments is similar to be dead.

I read another blog which explains the above proverb in relation to various world religious views of the belief of death.

My point is the next time you view a Hollywood depiction of a zombie, perhaps we should relate the zombies state it to the Spiritual state we may be walking around during our time: “under the sun.”

In My Opinion

Reading the news every day and relating the Spiritual State of many of us are in brings the thought to my mind that we are currently walking in a world of Spiritual Zombie’s

We need to return to teaching Wisdom of the Bible to our children to prevent them from becoming Spiritual zombies
