What is the wisest and/or foolish requests we may ask for in our lives?
I read a blog titled: Evil is a Paradise, which brought up the subject of asking.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate what King Solomon asked for in his life to compare to a James 4:2 Bible verse the blog writer referenced in her post.
King Solomon
So, give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (Kings 3:9)
James 4:2
“Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.”
What’s My Point?
If we read the Bible Chapter Kings Three, we find that the request for wisdom made by King Solomon pleaded for in his prayer was from his Maker, and was granted.
My point is the same as the writer explained in her post.
There are wise or foolish requests to ask for, or ask not, to satisfy the need and/or hunger in our souls and bodies during our short life times?
In My Opinion
Are we perhaps asking the wrong person that which we desire??
If our wish is granted, will what we hunger for serve to feed and nourish our souls and bodies or act upon us same as would a parasite.

You Decide
If what you request is granted to you, will what you seek or wish for be granted be a good or evil source or means?
Will a good source will nourish your soul, whereas an evil source may destroy both your body and soul in the same way as would a parasite?

Thank you, Rudy. Appreciate the mention! I really like that idea of praying for the “wisdom to govern.” We don’t hear that much in the modern world, but we really should.
