Does an ancient Idiom apply to the Amy Coney Barrett hearings, and if so, who are the fish in the idiom?
I read a Blog Post about concerns of India and China border flareups which the writer used an ancient wisdom idiom.
It reminded me of the Chicago Tribune AP article to report the skeptical questions the Democrats are asking Barrett in the Senate hearing taking place on her nomination to the Supreme Court instead of questions about her Judicial qualifications, experience, reputation, and character.
The Purpose of This Post
To relate an idiom with King Solomon proverbs to describe the Democrat political strategy occurring at the hearing, in my opinion.
King Solomon
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, (Proverb 2:12)
Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end. (Proverb 29:11)
Ancient Wisdom – Idiom
Stir up the Waters to Catch a Fish:
“Create confusion and use this turmoil to further one’s own goals. (It is easier to seize power when the chaos is unleashed)”.
What’s My Point?
The Democrats know they do not have the required votes to stop her nomination.
They also know Barrett is wise enough to understand the skeptical questions being asked are a power play battle to stir up an angry outburst from her to display her as a fool.
My point is the hearing is a display of politicians to attempt to anger her using Power Play No 39.
At the same time, Democrats objective of their skeptical questions is to spread fear or confusion to voters concerned about the issues of abortion, Obamacare, Gay marriage, etc. etc. to vote for the Democrats in the coming election.
In My Opinion
Amy Barrett is well aware of intent of the political battle reasoning to politically exploit the questions being asked of her by the Democrats in an attempt to “Stir up the waters to catch a fish.”
In my opinion, Amy Barrett is not the fish the Democrats want to stir up and catch.
The fish are Voters who are not aware of the power play tactics being used by the Democrats.

You Decide
How many wise or foolish fish will get stirred up with fear and vote (get caught in a net) of the Democrats strategy being displayed at the hearings?
Are we aware that the term “Fish” is also used to describe fools being conned by con-artists?

Rudy, In my opinion, the “fish” they are trying to appeal to are among the uninformed who miss their real objective regarding the Supreme Court, which is to avoid the legislative process in achieving their goals. Most I am sure that are against our president are already where they want them, they aren’t winning any undecided voters, and in fact, maybe driving them away.
