Democrat or Republican Party Legislators?
The Chicago Tribune AP article titled: New Covid Relief Slipping Away, reported the following statement.
“… Republicans in tough reelection races one last opportunity to try to show voters they are prioritizing COVID relief — and to make the case to voters that Democrats are the ones standing in the way.”
In a previous post titled: USA 2222-23 Reality Game of Thrones? I stated that 53 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
In another previous post titled: Pandemic Surtax? I suggested a method used in private industry uses to pass on costs of services and commodities when circumstance arise out of their control.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb to the game going on in Washington and the present addition of 3.1 Trillion Dollar Debt that will occur this year.
King Solomon
a servant who becomes king, a godless fool who gets plenty to eat, (Proverb 20:22)
What’s My Point?
The Congress members we elect are supposed to serve the needs of our Nation.
Anyone who is living from paycheck to paycheck needs help during this crisis as a result of government mandated shutdowns of the businesses they work.
My point is to remind Congress that it is not a game when they are living on week to week paychecks.
In My Opinion
Congress is acting like children and playing games while they receive their paychecks.
Read the above proverb again which in my opinion is an accurate assessment of their “Godless’ actions by Congress to ignore those in greatest need of help before the election.

You Decide
If after reading the articles, who will you vote for or against to blame in the coming election for acting like children and ignoring the most needy same as a godless person or political party?
Does this situation remind you of a statement made in history, “Let them eat cake?”

Rudy, it is sad that our “representatives” are more concerned with who’s getting credit for helping. I take my share of responsibility for the votes I have made, we all are accountable. Finger-pointing isn’t going to get us anywhere.

Thanks for your comment and reference to the word “Accountable.”
Sadly, accountable word meaning may not have the same meaning to godless people even though it should in my opinion.
For example,
Both Christians and non- Christians who do have a belief in God will or should have this following belief.
“The stark reality of Scripture is that every person, Christian and non-Christian, is accountable before a sovereign God (see Rom. 3:9-19) and will one day have to bow before Christ (Phil. 2:9-11). Jesus said, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be asked” (Luke 12:48b). Many reject this declaration of Scripture by all manner of human rationalizations and bias, but their rejection cannot alter the reality of accountability.”

However, to be an elected to Congress has no requirements for a person to be a believer in God. That is why the King Solomon proverb mentions “godless” in my opinion for Congress to play games while 53 million Americans live on week to week paychecks.
Sad

You decidedly put a new twist on a subject that’s been written about for years. Noteworthy material, just extraordinary! I enjoy reading a post that will make people think, thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner likewise. If you have a chance check out my website. It’s a work in progress, but I suppose that someday it will have nearly as good of content as yours. kelly kosky
