Every Halloween innumerable children pose an argument by stating Trick or Treat? Do politicians use the same argument when they twist (Trick) or truth (Treat Themselves to Win an Election.)
I read a Chicago Tribune article that twisted the word Killing to describe the deaths of Corona virus victims that in my opinion implied President Trump’s handling of the virus killed the victims instead of the virus being the cause of their deaths.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb and provide some articles how politicians twist the truth to treat themselves into winning an election.
King Solomon
From the fruit of his mouth a man’s belly is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:20-21)
What’s My Point?
Handling or Controlling the virus issue is one of the arguments that brings to my mind the words trick or treat and twisting the truth to win an argument or election.
Another issue has always been twisting the word abortion to avoid using the word killing.
My point is in the upcoming election which party do you believe is telling us the truth on these two issues or trick or treating us with their arguments.
In My Opinion
If interested, read the articles in the Source Links below and you decide who to believe which political candidate, media source, and/or Political Party “fruit” to believe is the truthful use and meanings of words on these two issues.
Controlling the Virus
Abortion.

I read the excerpt in Renew America quoting The Kingdom of Cults book. …”trick terminology is a propaganda weapon…” I find it fits in with another trick terminology in the feared word “ offensive”. Some thing is “politically offensive “therefore not challenged is an example. Words are powerful as well as tricky indeed.
