Did this slogan cost Democrats to lose House Seats in the election?

An MSN article titled: Clyburn: Defund the police’ slogan hurt Democratic candidates, contained this following statement:

“…that funding for police should be redistributed to social programs to help minority communities and address the root causes of crime.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient proverb which King Solomon wrote and practiced 3000 years ago on how he “addressed” what is being experienced in Chicago’s “root causes of the crime of killings.”.

King Solomon

A man burdened by bloodguilt will flee into the Pit; let no one support him.1(Proverb 28:17)

What’s My Point?

In ancient times, for the most part, killings were avenged by family members instead of government courts.

My point is in Chicago, a large number of single parent families exist and the result is many young men become gang members. Gang members are a form of families influenced by peers that young relate membership as a family, and/or, for safety against other gangs, or to obtain money selling drugs in high crime areas.

In My Opinion

I agree Rep Clyburn statement is probably true.

As for what is in store for the future regardless of political parties’ affiliations, which can also be discerned as a family influence of peers, King Solomon wrote this proverb.

For he knows not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be? (Ecclesiastes 8:7)

In other words, in my opinion, while no one knows the future, the “root causes” of revenge killings, single parent families, gangs, drugs, are all related by human folly “social causes” and are mainly related to the absence of youths ever being taught religious beliefs.

Your Decide

Will teaching children how to avoid ‘social problems” making use of the beliefs in the Bible which include our Maker’s laws “Thou shalt not Kill,” be more effective to reduce the root causes?

Or will teaching how to avoid the social problems presently being experienced is related to being taught in public schools and is not effective for the majority of children in poverty areas to reduce crime.?

Or will any political party that is successful to defunds the police in high crime areas solve the “social problems root causes,” will he or she ever be supported to win the next election, same as Rep. Clyburn contends?

Regards and goodwill blogging.
