Did a meteor crash on earth to cause the demise of investigative journalism same as the dinosaurs and courageous mavericks’ reporters seem to have become extinct in the USA?
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Look for the Mavericks, reported this following statement.\
“Once upon a time, virtually all journalists strove to be fair and independent. This is now a standard considered dated and quaint in much of the profession, especially among the young.
So, we should not be surprised that journalists are even less trusted than politicians. And that citizens now get their information from the tribes they join.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb to this issue and the 2020 election syndicated news media use of the words, “baseless claims.”
King Solomon
This is an evil in everything that is done under the sun: There is one fate for everyone. Furthermore, the hearts of men are full of evil and madness while they are alive, and afterward they join the dead. (Ecclesiastes 9:3,4)
What’s My Point?
In a Citizen Tom post, I commented my complaint about my being unable to obtain details of how the first time use of millions of mailed in ballots signatures were checked against voter registration forms.
A comment was made to suggest I check with the State of Georgia on my own which for an average Joe citizen would probably be a waste of time because they might tell me anything and I would have neither the time or energy or ability to pursue the truth or logic of the details of what they might say or claim.
Today’s news media in the USA is owned by less than ten news syndicates. The news they pass on to their news affiliates every morning can be readily identified as script readings
For example, check how many times the two words, “baseless claims” are or have been broadcast and printed in the past month.
My point is as the article further states, “But the loss of the independent press is a tragedy for the Republic….”
In My Opinion
As for the truth and logic of my original question how were the signatures compared, in my google searches, I came across this article which will probably be dismissed because the article is associated with a Trump supporter political blog.
“Fact Check: Trump Is Right, AP Wrong, About Georgia Signature Matching”
In other words, as I pointed out in another previous post titled: Active or Comatose Minds, the following statement.
“An active mind, as Sherlock Holmes said, is attempting to “eliminate the impossible, since whatever is left, no matter how improbable, must be the truth’s

Regardless of political party, are we really as free as we think or are, we being led with a nose string and being indoctrinated to believe by the “higher ups” who may or may not be oppressing a nation citizenry with song verses like the pied piper of: land of the free and home of the brave.”
Is it possible the wise King Solomon’s observation 3000 years ago possibly based on truth and logic when he stated they could be possibility that, the hearts of men are full of evil and madness while they are alive…”? on the issue of signature comparisons in the 2020 election? Or in other words the idiom, “the devil is in the details.” needs to be addressed?

Let’s also keep to the forefront of your “research”… the extraordinarily remote possibility that the many thousands of people who work for the ten news companies are all siding with some political views of their boss/owner.. that they can be bought to report biased and fake news, that they somehow have less morals, less integrity, and are part of a grand and growing conspiracy against Trump. In fact, those 80 million that voted for Biden are simply by nature corrupt and without dignity nor favor the Constitution. Yep.. that’s the ticket.

Doug,
Every once in a while, I watch documentaries on WWII and wonder to myself how entire Nations were led by their leaders to commit the atrocities they engaged in and obviously believed whatever they believed to be truth.
As you probably, know from my blogs, I keep repeating over and over King Solomon’s ancient wisdom observations that each generation seems to wind up repeating the same follies of past generations.
One example, is to listen to the pied pipers who led entire Nations of millions of people: down the drains” by feeding their vanities, (tickets).

I see it clear…and I’ve seen it on both sides to be fair but again…the “baseless claims” is a pet peeve of mine. A headline like that would not have happened 20 years ago.
We all know…let me rephrase that…I personally think MSNBC and CNN favors the liberal agenda…I also think Fox and OAN favors the conservative agenda…That is the problem. Why favor anyone…just investigate and get the truth but the followers don’t want the truth. Just like a rock band or a sitcom…they are giving their people what they want to hear.
I just want a news anchor with a piece of paper reading the news…I certainly don’t want his opinions…but that would be “boring” in todays age.

You said….
… “that would be boring,” is a spot-on observation why news sources add intrigue into their reporting, because after all, they need to make profits to stay in business.
Still doesn’t excuse them from their journalist responsibility to report news rather than gossip or opinions and bias they reveal in their supposed objective reporting.
Sad, it really is not supposed to be the way it has become because all gossip does is stir up anger and divisiveness in our Nation.

I remember Walter reading the news and that was that. At least we got some semblance of truth.
No it wasn’t supposed to go this way. We don’t get the news…we get the National Enquirer.
