Does the USA need help and counsel from Nigerian officials how to free 70,000 children in Chicago?
The Chicago Tribune – Star Tribune article titled: 344 abducted boys freed Nigerian official says, reported the details of how the boys were freed after being abducted in Nigeria contained this statement.
“He added that the government “is acutely aware of its responsibility to protect the life and property of the Nigerians.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb and an idiom to this report and suggest the USA consult with Nigeria officials on how to rescue 70,000 boys abducted in Chicago.
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverb 15:22)
“Squeaky Wheels get the most grease.”
What’s My Point?
I read a Citizen Tom post early this morning about the abductions in Nigeria and commented the following:
‘This sad affair can be related to what is happening in urban areas of the USA and the world.
Instead of “Boko Haram is a bunch of homicidal maniacs,” it is urban gangs in Chicago for instance.
In other words, once a young impressionable youth in the most vulnerable time of their lives is recruited into a gang, they are in effect being recruited into a culture of drugs and crime.
Sad no matter where it happens on any scale or numbers.
Chicago is the gang capital of the United States. According to the Chicago Crime Commission, a 2012 Chicago Police Department gang audit found there are more than 600 gang factions in the city, with a minimum combined membership of 70,000. (google)“
The ancient Proverb refers to plans. Anyone familiar with managers is plans consist of both short term and long-term solutions.
My point is after commenting the above, I read the Chicago Tribune good news article Which pointed me to consider that if Nigeria figured out a way to rescue their children successfully, perhaps we need to emulate what they did.
In My Opinion,
The short-term plan would be for the parents of the 70,000 Chicago children abducted in gangs is to do the same as the parents in Nigeria did. Every day they stood outside their governing officials’ buildings.
The Nigerian army then surrounded the area and result in the abductors releasing the children.
The long-term plan should be the parents continue to stand outside the officials in Chicago and Illinois until the pass school choice funds to allow parents to choose the schools they want their children to attend according to the following statement.
“Black parents love charter schools and voucher-supported private school vouchers because they teach values, self-respect, and hope. But no, if this option for poor or lower-~income parents has more Democrat opposition than ever.”
Everyone who ever studied behavior science knows that the main reason children join gangs is because gangs provide a sense of community. For them, especially if they live in single parent households.
Anyone who ever attended a private religious school in the childhood also experienced being a member of community of God which in my opinion is a much better alternative than a community of criminal gangs.
Sadly though, even though the Supreme Court ruled the States enactments of the Blaine Amendments to prevent tax funds from being used to fund private religious institutions was unconstitutional, “the Democrats opposition “and the mass media is keeping the news secret. The news being, that no longer is it constitutional for parents who send their children to have to pay two tuitions, one for private religious schools which is unaffordable for poverty and middle-class families for the rest of their lives.

Is the above proverb and idiom relative to this issue? Or in other words, would 70,000 parents standing outside Chicago City hall providing counsel using the idiom “squeaky their wheels” help end the gang abduction problems in Chicago and other high crime urban areas?
