Interested in use of the word antithesis of school’s actions during the pandemic.
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Catholic schools on South and West sides hit hard by pandemic get $1.8 million donation, reported this statement.
“…Catholic school educators who have been teaching students in person since the fall.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb to consider the contrast of the actions taking place during the pandemic of two types of schools in the USA.
Definition of antithesis – Merriam Webster
1a: the direct opposite
Definition of actions
1a: a thing done: DEED
b: the accomplishment of a thing usually over a period of time, in stages, or with the possibility of repetition
cations plural: BEHAVIOR, CONDUCT unscrupulous actions
King Solomon:
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; (Ecclesiastes 3:7)
What’s My Point?
There is an obvious antithesis in the two different types of school systems in the USA.
My point is the pandemic has highlighted the antithesis of the two types of schools by their deeds and actions. For example, private schools somehow managed to reopen in the fall and public schools have not.
In My Opinion
Voters need to contact their legislators and demand school choice or school voucher.
It is now possible because of the 2020 Supreme Court decision that ruled it is unconstitutional for States to pass laws to prevent taxpayer funds to be directed to private religious schools,

You Decide
If you are a parent, should you wonder why 40 percent of public-school teachers send their kids to private schools and so do most legislators?
As a parent sending your children to private school and in light of the Supreme Court decision, should you be asking yourself why you should have to pay two tuitions, one to fund private and one to fund public schools?

I’ve yet to read in the mainstream news-media how when the COVID-19 crisis began, the most influential, and maybe even the first, voices to have the ear of governments likely were the largest corporations, particularly the airlines.
The result was resistance against an immediate halt in international commerce, including overseas flights, weeks of delay that may have translated into many COVID-19 deaths.
A common refrain unfortunately prevails, especially among Western capitalist nation governments and big business circles—that best business practices are best decided by business decision makers.
(Other than what’s best for bottom-line corporate profit margins, this was proven false by, as a most consequential example, Boeing’s decision to keep its ill-fated 737 Max planes flying, regardless of indicators, including employee warnings, they should be grounded and serious software glitches corrected.)
