Are political cartoons a form of free speech that needs to be fact checked and discerned for truth, wisdom, and common sense to measure a Legislator or Political Party
The above Chicago Tribune political cartoon published in a major news source is depicting President Biden’s humanitarian use of taxpayer’s funds to house asylum seekers in motels while at the same time there are 500,000 Americans, many veterans, sleeping in tents on the streets in the USA.
A PJ Media article contained this statement.
“Then we learned the administration will spend $86 million on hotels for illegals, while it treated the National Guard troops it deployed to protect itself from a non-existent threat terribly. Those troops were relegated to sleeping in garages and eating food that made some of them sick.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb, two idioms, to this sad truth on the issue of politician picking and choosing what is more or less humanitarian needs in a world of madness and folly.
King Solomon
Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1:17)
Idiom
Turn a blind eye
Excerpt
Meaning: To refuse to acknowledge a known truth
Feed them and they will come.
Excerpt
“However, sometimes our efforts bring unanticipated consequences. To return to the story of our backyard paradise, I can tell you that those woods harbored more than the aforementioned harmless creatures. They also harbored large bears.”
What’s My Point?
The problem with government political humanitarian policies in a world of madness and folly, the truth Is the Democrat Party made a decision which provides an incentive to feed them and they will come for the asylum seekers and turn a blind eye to the 500,000 homeless Americans, many are veterans, now living in tents all over the USA which is the truth is now being depicted in the above political cartoon.
My point is when Biden invited the present surge, he obvious had no understanding or plan how to accommodate the surge which has resulted.
In My Opinion
The truth is President Biden and the Democrat Party have wonderful humanitarian beliefs but obviously lack planning managerial skills, wisdom and common sense.
For example,
3000 years ago, King Solomon realized and gave advice that his efforts to solve the madness and folly was the same as trying to chase and grasp the wind.
In a previous post I stated that Biden produced a plan to allow 125,000 immigrate from all over the world be granted asylum.
No one seems to know how many asylum seekers in 2021 have been allowed from Central America to date to compare to his plan estimate to allow 1000.
It is obvious that we elected legislators who choose to treat asylum seekers in a more humanitarian treatment while turning a blind eye to ignore the 500,000 homeless now sleeping in the streets all over the USA.
And as long as we feed and house asylum seekers and pay for them, the wind will keep chasing them to ignore the immigration policies of an inept planning and policies of the Democrat Party, in my opinion.

You Decide
Should at the very least, the government should treat the 500, 000 homeless Americans sleeping in tents, many in frigid areas of the USA, with the same humanitarian accommodations of the asylum seekers who enter the USA?
Should Congress pass laws to approve funds being allocated in excess of the President’s Plans when they exceed his plans?
Should the Biden Administration make public how many asylum seeders have been admitted into the USA in 2021?

PJMedia – Joe Biden’s Humanitarian Border Crisis
This post got my attention because of the first sentence. About political cartoons. As a kid they introduced me to politics. It was the easiest way to understand the complex world of politics. So I do think like any other medium of information sharing, they should indeed be fact checked. Your article brought interesting issues that I hadn’t really thought about before. Not just in the US but in any other country, there is always that question. Should money be spent on immigrants when they are citizens of that country that would really benefit from that money as well. Its complex but also not really. In a world of limited resources, I think ultimately the issue of humanity has to come into play. Its like, should you feed the homeless child whereas your own child is also starving? Ultimately I think its all about sharing whatever limited resources exist. Anyway, long comment here, just that your post had me thinking about issues I hadn’t really thought about before.

I agree with your comment, “Ultimately I think it’s all about sharing whatever limited resources exist.”
However, the sharing should be just and fair.
Which is an impossible task in a world of madness and folly.
What the real problem we have is government making and spending decisions without Congressional oversight in a Democrat rather than an Autocrat Nation.
While the USA probably can accept millions more based on land availability, it has limits when funds are part of the equation.
That is why there is so much divisiveness in our Nation. We have a government making autocratic decisions in a supposedly Democratic Republic.
Sad,
