Are antigun proponents proposal schemes preoccupied with details instead of long-term big picture answers why the USA gun problem is a national embarrassment?
A Chicago Tribune columnist article titled: Biden is right; US gun violence ‘an international embarrassment,’ contained this statement>
“Many of the violent shooters were criminals before they started shooting,”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb, an idiom, to the issue of how and why the US being an international embarrassment on gun violence
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverb 9:10)
20. “Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.”
Idiom -big picture
noun the general, overall, or long-term scheme of something, as opposed to the specific details or present preoccupations.
What’s My Point?
Instead of suggesting opinions about details such as massive government regulation and hiring an army of more government personnel to background check everyone who wants to purchase a gun, or to believe that the government can successfully confiscate the present 400 million guns in the USA. What we need to do is discern the big picture why people in the USA have no fear of killing each other whether with guns, knives, poison, hammers, axes, clubs etc. etc.
In My Opinion
The lack of fear by criminals and the lack of teaching in depth religion beliefs of wisdom and love in their youth beginning at age of four to fourteen is the reason why children grow up to be criminals who in their youth “Many of the violent shooters were criminals before they started shooting,”
In other words, instead of continue to opine on this issue of guns, we need to teach children to believe and fear in their final judgement when they die for disobeying God’s commandment, “Thou shalt not Kill.”
The columnist believes taking away guns will end the national embarrassment and included the results of a study that 10 percent increase in gun ownership was associated with an approximately 35 percent higher rate in shootings.” Then adds his opinion, “That’s so logical it hurts/”
What the columnist overlooks is the more logical and hurtful reason most people are rushing to buy guns in the first place is because of fear of criminals. Whether they are gang members fearing other gang members or law-abiding members in communities fearing the police can no longer adequately protect them from criminals.
In my opinion, to solve the national embarrassment what need to be done is for the USA government is to conduct a more logical and bigger picture study to compare how many convicted criminals attended a public vs a private religious school.
And the sooner this study is made, the big picture solution is to return school choice to parents who want their children to be taught their religious values instead of public secular schools who teach children all types of studies except the wisdom and love taught in the Bible. And the Ten Commandments. which one is “Thou shalt not kill?” Having a wisdom and love belief that there is more living well a life than to accumulate goods and experience sinful pleasures which will be meaningless after they die and are judged before their Creator to account for the being blessed with life.
Should leaders of our Nation and political pundits who quote studies on details instead of a big picture study to compare how many convicted criminals attended a public school instead of private religious school?
Should antigun proponents study how Hitler managed to confiscate all the guns in Germany to prevent him from being overthrown because of his insane policies of killing seven million Jews before he launched WWII?
Should antigun proponents consider his wise statement “Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.”
Should voters elect legislators to approve school choice or school vouchers now that the Supreme Court ruled in 2020 that previous State laws to use their taxes to fund schools was unconstitutional. In other words, consider the big picture that if a child is taught in depth religious beliefs instead of a bunch of laws, he will be less likely to shoot someone.
Is the real national embarrassment that government leaders’ main reasons for resisting school choice or school vouchers is because of the donations and voter support they receive from Teachers Unions.
Are the real reasons private religious schools remained open while public school teachers’ unions resisted opening is because the teachers feared their students would not obey the same discipline rules taught in private religious schools.
