Did Shakespeare have the Democrat Leaders on his mind when he wrote this Sonnet verse?
The Chicago Tribune Column, Editorial, and Opinion’s article titles brought to my mind sayings of the past.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb, sayings, and three excerpts from the articles for interested readers to discern the reports being described in the news reports to compare wisdom or folly.
King Solomon
The toil of a fool wearies him, for he does not know the way to the city. (Proverb 10:16)
Wikipedia – SNAFU
“SNAFU also sometimes refers to a bad situation, mistake, or cause of trouble. It is more commonly used in modern vernacular to describe running into an error or problem that is large and unexpected. “
Shakespeare –
“In his Sonnet 103, Shakespeare may have rendered one of the best interpretations of the meaning of beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He contrasts his mistress’ beauty to things more beautiful, listing some of her imperfections. He still manages to find, “And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare/As any she belied with false compare.”
What’s My Point?
Read the following article titles and excerpts which follow in order of reporting in today’s Chicago Tribune.
1. Column: The insanity of the left’s ‘Let the kids have their knife fights’ argument
“And in their panic, the left built another fantasy: that cops should allow kids to settle arguments with knives.”
2.Editorial – How Chicago’s leaders are failing on violent crime.
“Community groups blame Mayor Lori Lightfoot for spending too much money on the Police Department and not enough on outreach. Lightfoot throws shade at Foxx’s office for being too passive with offenders who show up at bond court. Foxx questions police protocols and points to decisions being made by Cook County judges. And Chief Judge Timothy Evans says his judges can only work off the information brought to them by law enforcement, however incomplete.”
3. Opinion – Biden’s first 100 days
“A welcome, and overdue, return to normalcy.”
My point is that since the majority of cities under Democrat control have the highest crime rates in the Nation, should we discern that under their leadership and in their eyes, SNAFU, is beautiful and normal?
In My Opinion
None of the articles offer any plans other than if all the Democrat leaders work together, crime will disappear in the cites they control.
You Decide
If after reading the articles, is everything the Democrats planning on doing going to end or will SNAFU be the new normal ‘fantasy’ for the future of our Nation?
Do you believe the Democrats have a short- and long-range plan that will succeed to manage to succeed for crime to disappear in the cities under Democrat control?
Or are the Democrat leaders results more likely a fantasy or will coincide in line with the description of the above King Solomon proverb?

Shakespeare
SNAFU = situation normal – all f—-d up!
Democrats, that is, the elected Democrats, are not trying to fix anything. They are on a quest for power. Making things worse is not a problem for them so long as two things are true.
1. The mass media covers up for them.
2. They can shift the blame.
In fact, when Democrats make a mess, they use that mess as an excuse — a crisis — that requires us to give them more power to fix the mess. So, long as enough people believe them, we are in trouble. That is one reason why it is such a huge disaster that Democrats effectively run the public school system. They are indoctrinating our children with their BS.
