Did Covid make us more aware of the truth about the fiction or reality of picture stories being produced?
A Purpleray’s blog contained a quote advice which reminded me of what millions of Americans have been watching in our homes on TV during the past eighteen months of Covid isolation.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate and ancient proverb, idiom video exploration, and a Renoir Painting to question if Covid made us more aware of what Hollywood movie producers, authors, and/or news pundits have been producing and we are watching on Netflix, Prime and other cable networks and the reading in fiction novels.
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6 NIV)

Purplerays Blog Saying Advice
“To my mind a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful and pretty. There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them.” Pierre-Auguste Renoir”
What’s My Point?
Millions of Americans and the World have been watching movies on TV, reading fiction novels, or listening to news pundits’ opinions over the past months as a result of being mandated to stay home from work, school, or play during Covid.
When I too began to channel surf, read books or news articles, I became more aware of what is beaning produced and as the idiom suggests being “rained cats and dogs’ on many impressionable and vulnerable people in the USA and world.
My point and question are not new. It was brought up in a proverb written 3000 years ago and many times by concerned citizens in our contemporary times.
Are the pictures of what we have been exposing our children and ourselves are watching and reading during the Covid influencing more fictional vs. reality to influence the rise of crime and folly in our Nation and World and adding to the divisiveness in our politics?
In My Opinion
If we spend less than five minutes watching the video that teaches children what an idiom means, perhaps we might agree that Covid isolation and idle time may have contributed to the increase of crime and folly that is raining in America.
If instead we used our idle time to do what ancients in every culture and religion recommends to read the Bible which focuses on Wisdom and Love, or meditate and pray instead of the fictional pictures instead of reality, perhaps this world would have produced a different result in what is now being produced in rainfall of crime and folly.
Should we all contemplate the wisdom of Renoir saying advice to produce a better picture in the USA and world.
Could we have used our Covid time idleness to produce a better picture for ourselves and our children to have been taught the reality of life instead of what is being produced in what we are reading and hearing and being produced by Hollywood, TV, and the news.
Is it ever too late to change the pictures we are teaching our children from fiction to truth, reality of what they are and will be exposed to “go, and when he is old, he will not turn from it?”
Is the truth and reality that the pictures we are seeing and hearing in our contemporary times is “raining cats and dogs” of Wisdom and Love or “raining crime and folly” “Driving us all up the wall” in the USA and World?
