… is it wise or foolish to trust to ‘sharpen your mind,’ WHO, or a pot seller, a politician, or the advice of your own doctor?

In a previous post titled: Grey Brain Matter Wisdom or Folly, a  blogger ‘liked’ the post.

I usually check the blog address of anyone who responds to my blog posts. The blogger had a post titled: Re-Thinking Cannabis: The Therapeutic Potential of CBD | Ryan Crane | TEDx Chicago, which makes numerous claims about studies and the uses of marijuana.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to related an ancient proverbs,  idioms, and my opinion about the numerous claims and articles about marijuana use issues and who or what advice to trust.

King Solomon

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (Proverb 3:5)

Excerpt

Those who know themselves, find their own understandings a broken reed, which, if they lean upon, will fail.

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. (Proverb 27:17)

Excerpt

We are cautioned to take heed whom we converse with. And directed to have in view, in conversation, to make one another wiser and better.

Idioms–

Snake oil salesman

Someone who sells, promotes, or is a general proponent of some valueless or fraudulent cure, remedy, or solution.

too good to be true

So exciting or pleasing as to be unbelievable.

What’s My Point?

We recently read or heard in the news about President Trump’s decision to withdraw from funding WHO because of his low opinion of their ties to China and the spread of Corona virus.

Current news articles are re-visiting Trump’s statements that the virus originated in a China lab.

My point is the question of who to believe and trust has been an issue recorded in history 3000 years ago as well as our contemporary times.

In My Opinion

In the previous post, I provided articles of medical studies that question the wisdom and folly of engaging in use of marijuana products for recreational purposes because it can affect the grey matter of a human brain.

I also recommended everyone to ask their own doctor of his opinion and proffesional advice on the issue using marijuana for recreational or health purposes.

You Decide

Who should we trust in our lives based on history to give us wise or be more likely to give us foolish advice to live a healthy experience in our short lifespans on earth?

Who should we trust to have been better trained and more experienced to obtain better advice on the issue of using drugs for recreational or health purposes, a salesman, politician,  or a doctor, ‘to sharpen’ the gray area matter in our brains?
