Will government economics of trickle – up or trickle- down policies ever end the groans and balance the budget or should ……?

The Chicago Tribune Op-Ed Article titled: Biden’s Trickle Up Economics Bound to Fail: reported the following statement:

“While relying entirely on trickle-down economics didn’t fully deliver on growth, relying too much on trickle-up will be worse because it can’t deliver sustainable long-term growth. We may want a more equal economy for moral reasons or because it’s better for society, but Biden’s approach won’t deliver more growth too. Trickle-up works better for redistributing the pie rather than growing it. We need to find the balance.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate ancient wisdom proverbs, an idiom, and perhaps a wise or foolish allegory for government economists to end the continual trickling directions of water (tax revenues) which never will succeed to balance the budget (well).

King Solomon

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan. (Proverb 29:2)

Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all. (Proverb 22:2)

Idiom – you never miss the water till the well runs dry

It is only when someone or something is gone that we truly appreciate them or it.

What’s My Point?

Reading blogs or pundit news articles and opinions presenting various economic theories, I sense an allegory similar to the ebbs and tides of waves on the ocean. The opinions and theories are like waves continually changing direction same as ocean ides.

For example, USA government economic to stimulate the economy of Reagans trickle – down economics never accomplished balancing the budget, yet it did stir up the economy briefly and resulted in higher National Debt.

Biden’s opposite economic is to trickle – up economics will have the same result for reasons explained in the Op-ed article.

Even King Solomon failed in his attempt to tax and borrow which resulted in his Kingdom to split into two when the richer North split from the poorer South because of unfair taxation.

My point tax policies must be righteous just and fair and budgets balanced rather than continually changing like tides. Or same experiences of past Nations will result over time in the USA.

In My Opinion

Trickledown economics theories will never t work over time because basically is an attempt to o dump a bucket of water on one’s head while standing in the bucket.

Trickle up economics won’t work either once the bucket run dry.

In the interim the groaning from both the rich and the poor will become louder, the less chance for either to live side by side. The two will separate the same way as what occurred in King Solomon’s Nation.

Balance is needed in the water bucket of the USA instead of continual attempts to change the trickle directions and groans about taxes being unfair, unrighteous, and unjust.

Would perhaps both a minimum and a maximum tax percentage based on earnings for everyone be wise or foolish to help quiet the groans sounding in the USA about unfair government taxation??

And any fool knows continually borrowing from the bucket until the interest to pay back the loans will over time dry up the well or bucket.

You Decides

Is it righteous, fair, just or wise for government to continually attempt to balance the bucket with trickling up or trickle-down economic theories?

Would having everyone living above the poverty rate be required to pay both a minimum and maximum tax percentage perhaps end the groans.

Should government be required to balance their budgets instead of adding to the National Debt until the well runs dry?

Can the word meanings apply to government of ‘wicked, ‘righteousness, wise, or foolish government tax policies?

Will rich and poor ever learn to live side by side as intended by their Creator?
