Is it time for ‘chumps’ to wise up to ‘the good and bad ants’ playbooks?
An article titled: Powell says economy growing rapidly, inflation up ‘notably’, reported the following statement:
“Still, Powell reiterated his view that inflation’s recent jump to a 13-year high would prove temporary.”
A Citizen Tom comment on his blog titled: stated the following.:
“Inflation destroys the savings of ordinary wage earners. All of a sudden, we find our salaries cut in value and the money we put in the bank diminishing in value. Ironically, because of our “progressive” income tax, if our employer actually does increase our pay, we may find ourselves in a higher tax bracket.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb to the issue of the secret game play now being played by the ‘higher ups’ which makes use of inflation secret tulles that basically hurt those who played by the rules.
If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still. (Ecclesiastes 5:8)
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? (Proverb 6:9)
Definition of chump (Merriam – Webster)
informal: a person who is easily tricked: a stupid or foolish person
What’s My Point?
The secret playbook rules of government to tax, borrow, and spend are opposite King Solomon’s rules based on wisdom that were written 3000 years ago about ants and in my opinion are kept secret by government.
My point is when government continues to borrow and spend, those who play by the rules to work and save rules and either do not understand the detriments of inflation are in effect chumps once they discern the question following answer.
“A man approached Warren with a question. “My daughter is getting out of school. I’ve saved all my money [so that] she doesn’t have any student loans. Am I going to get my money back?”
“Of course not,” Warren replied.
“So, you’re going to pay for people who didn’t save any money, and those of us who did the right thing get screwed?”.
In My Opinion
If we understand why King Solomon gave advice for humans to emulate ants, it was based on his observations how they work hard and follow the rules.
However, if you study ants, you will find that there are different types of ants. Some like humans are hard workers and others are predator types or warring ants who working ants must defend against.
You will also observe the main three character of ants as follows:
- Ants have a purpose and are purpose driven.
- Ants collaborate.
- Ants are great planners.
Sadly though, the above three characteristics are common with both good hard-working ants and preditor ants.
For example, a detailed article which gives advice to be a good Christian gives advice how to emulate the above three characters of ants and play by the good rules.
In reality, the same characteristics are used by predator ants to prey on good hard-working ants and in effect make them their victims or chumps.
In other words, when government leaders borrow and spend without long range planning that results in surges and shortages of goods and services will create inflation which lessens the value of their savings and assets they worked hard and played by the rules to accumulate.
Are we chumps for voting for legislators who believe in borrow and spend without long range planning to prevent inflation?
Are we chumps for not making long range plans for inflation and trusting like chumps to believe in government by giving us free lunch is making us more dependent on government because any one with wisdom knows there is no such thing as a free lunch in life long term?
Which type of ants did we vote to represent us for the long term who actually believe “ that inflation’s recent jump to a 13-year high would prove temporary.” if you are my age and remember when a gallon of gas cost 20 cents, a home $5,000, a new car $1000 , school tuition in a private religious school 25 cents a week, and tax bracket and tax payments State and Federal taxes were paid was equivalent to one month’s wages instead of the current four or five months?
Is it time for voters to quit being chumps and ask both politic parties to discern this question: “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? (Proverb 6:9)
