Is Critical Race Theory or Christianity teaching the same wisdom King Solomon observed 3000 years ago about humans?
The politicians have decided that teaching CRT is going to end racism in the future by teaching children that the founders of our Nation were flawed about slavery and racisms.
The questions raised of which teaching method, secular or religious, is the wiser method to teach children at the most impressionable and vulnerable time in their lives, Grades 1 to 8, the basic truth about humans in a positive rather than negative perspective or beliefs.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient Bible wisdom verse, two Excerpts of comments of opposing views, and my opinions about the wisdom and folly of teaching a theory to impressionable children that is based on a negative instead of of positive truths. Truths about all humans and the founders of our Nation that was observed and proven in history based on human follies since the beginning of recorded history.
Also, to recommend my and another bloggers opinion of the wisest course for parents who object to CRT and sex contemporary theories which are in opposition to their religious values and First Amendment Rights, and responsibilities to choose what they want taught instead of what the government politicians mandated theories that must be taught
I have seen all the things that are done under the sun, and have found them all to be futile, a pursuit of the wind. What is crooked cannot be straightened, and what is lacking cannot be counted. (Ecclesiastes 1:14-15)\
What’s My Point?
Understanding the truth that both opposing parties agree on, that the truth is politicians are humans prone to making foolish choices in life. Same as what CRT teaches in our counterparty times about the founders in our Nation made in these following statements in a Chicago Tribune OP-ed article.
“Christianity teaches that all humans are afflicted by original sin, dooming them to fall short in every endeavor. The philosopher Immanuel Kant channeled the Lutheran faith of his upbringing when he wrote, “Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made.”
“That’s not to say that Americans should be ashamed of our origins. A rational conservative — or liberal — can argue persuasively that the nation and system of government were the best that could be achieved given the historical circumstances, conflicting interests and political passions prevailing at the time.”
In other words, the writer is admitting that teaching the CRT theory may, or can be, another human flaw in the making based on conflicting interests and political passions prevailing in our contemporary times.
My point is since both sides of this argument agree that humans are flawed, that parents, instead of government, should choose what they want taught to their children in accordance to their First Amendment Rights of freedom of religion and religious values and beliefs.
In My Opinion
Frankly, I don’t believe the writers negative opinion that Christianity teaches his opinion that all men are doomed. “to fall short” in their lifetimes. It teaches hope, wisdom and love for all men to make wise rather than foolish choices to avoid falling short if they choose to follow it positives instead of negative teachings.
A Citizen Tom comment in his blog posts of his opposition to CRT, which is in opposition to the views of the Chicago Tribune Op-ed opinions contained this following comment which in my opinion is the wisest alternative for parents who are fed up with government run schools abd mandated theories which they believe teach negative rather than positive values to their children.
“Think about this. All the money that the NEA and other teachers’ unions use to propagandize us comes from us, and politicians choose which teachers get that money.
Government pays the teachers, trains the teachers, and chooses the teachers, and parents either take it or pay twice.
We need to make this an election issue and replace the politicians who don’t favor school choice. School vouchers would give parents the most choice.”
In other words, instead of continuing to disagree with CRT and government run secular values about sex which are in opposition to parent’s religious values in school board meetings, State and Federal Agencies, all funded with parents’ taxes, we need to vote for legislators to support school vouchers.
Are you as a responsible parent and taxpayer, concerned about what is being taught about sex, CRT, and other contemporary values and theories that are in opposition to the Wisdom and Love values taught by Christianity family and community values? If so, should you continue to vote for any legislator who will not support school vouchers?.
Since both sides of the CRT agree that humans can and have made mistakes in history, that are crooked or flawed, same as King Solomon observed, why are we now allowing our children to be taught values in opposition to our First Amendment Rights of freedom of religion to be indoctrinated with contemporary CRT theory. Instead of what or who to believe to be the truths according to our religion proven in history to be wise instead of foolish positive rather than negative paths for our children to follow-on their time and straight rather than crooked paths in life?
As for the issue of teaching children about racism, would either side of CRT disagree with the following most positive Bible verse teaching taut 2000 years ago?
Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would those men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (Matthew 7:12)
