What did West Virginia accomplish to deserve accolades for all parents with school age children in the USA?
Most parents are not aware that West Virginial this past month joined a handful of States to help parents make it more affordable to fulfil their freedom of religious beliefs to choose what schools is best for their children.
Religious beliefs that parent have a duty to teach religious values they believe is best for or teach their children to follow on their paths in life instead of secular government school boards and politicians’ beliefs they believe are opposite to their religious beliefs.
For example, to be taught the religious belief Wisdom to lead them to Love of the Lord and fellow man and women “do unto others what they want done to themselves,” A belief that is now unlawful to teach in a public school because it is a Bible Commandment the Supreme Court has ruled is unconstitutional to teach in a public school.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate and ancient wisdom proverb and information which for some reason is not being reported in the news for some reason.
King Solomon
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it. (Proverb 22:6)
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother (Proverb 10:1)
What’s My Point?
The West Virginian news articles explain the pros and cons expressed in their House, Senate, and Governor which include the following Excerpts
“CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – The West Virginia Senate passed a bill Wednesday to allow publicly funded savings accounts for students to attend private schools over vehement opposition from Democrats.”
“If [parents] decide to send their child to a private school, they pay the full array of tuition right now to do that, and they still pay the full array of taxes,” Fast said. “This is not a diversion from public education. It gives education choice to the taxpayers for use of their taxpayer dollars.
The measure (House Bill 2013) would allow parents to build up the money year after year if they don’t use it all, so they could save up a large sum of state money to spend on a nearly unlimited list of educational expenses later on — such as an expensive private school. Parents could choose to use out-of-state education service providers.
“Public funds are taxpayer funds. It is not a subsidy; it creates a choice.”
“The program, named the Hope Scholarship, would put state money into a special account that parents could then spend on private school tuition, homeschooling and other educational needs. It would allow private and homeschooled students to participate, pushing the potential cost to the state to more than $100 million annually. The state portion would be capped at $4,600 per child.”
My point is most poor and middle-class parents can no longer afford to pay taxes and private school tuitions to choose to pass on their religious values to their children.
In My Opinion
Religious values have proven over time the wisdom of the ancient proverb “A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother”
For example, what wise and loving parent is glad when their child who disobeys both God’s Commandment on their path in life and may wind up being sent to prison.
Even when psychosocial studies are children taught religious values have less risk of choosing a path of folly in their children’s lives such as crime which as the proverb states winds up “being a foolish son or daughter becoming “a sorrow to his mother.”
In my opinion, most voters are not aware of the issue of school vouchers are no longer unlawful in States because of a 2020 Supreme Court decision. The West Virginia law passed school vouchers in an amount not to exceed $4600 per child vs the $11,334 per pupil spending in West Virginia.
“New York has the highest per-pupil spending of all of the 50 states. New York currently spends $24,040 per pupil, approximately 90% above the national average. Utah has the lowest per-pupil spending of $7,628 per student.”
If every parent was allocated the same amount per student funded, over time it will help reduce the news reports we are reading and hearing everyday fool being reported by children who never attended a private religious school and were never taught in depth their parents religious values.
Voters need to elect politicians to support school vouchers. Teachers should too because if equal full per student amounts would be allocated to private Christiaan schools, and parents’ Rights and Freedoms included a choice of what school they could choose, private religious or public secular, many teachers would choose to teach in private Christion schools, which already 40 percent of public-school teachers sent their children to now.
You Decide
Are accolades deserved by the West Virginian legislators to pass school vouchers in spite of zero Democrats voting for school vouchers?
Why is it that no Democrats supported school vouchers and cannot understand that the USA founders Bill of Rights First Amendment freedoms focused on freedom of speech and religion to be essential issues being vital to the success of a Democrat Republic.
Should more wise taxpayer parents recognize the tax inequities in their States that legislator ignore of having to pay two traditions, one for public schools’ secular teachings and another for private religions schools for their entire life.
Should parents who believe in believe in their First Amendment Rights of freedom of religion give accolades to West Virginia and perhaps consider moving there because the legislators are wiser and loving than in their State. Understanding of the needs of parents who wiser want to but can no longer a food to pay two tuitions because ever since Government became involved in schools the costs have risen which seems to occur for some reason. Perhaps the reason may even be related to lack of religious beliefs and values of Biblical Wisdom and Love?
