What is lacking in Right of Free Speech that relates to wise or foolish arrows?
I read a Citizen Tom post and comments, which in my opinion all relate to King Solomon’s observations and wisdom verses.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate ancient proverbs to our contemporary times in the USA of the folly of allowing Big Tech to the decisions made who to censor on their web sites.
I have seen all the things that are done under the sun, and have found them all to be futile, a pursuit of the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1:14)
Or like as when an arrow is shot at a mark, it parted the air, which immediately cometh together again, so that a man cannot know where it went through:” (Wisdom of Solomon 5:12)
He shall put on righteousness as a breastplate, and true judgement instead of a helmet. He shall take holiness for an invincible shield. (Wisdom of Solomon 5:18-19)
What’s My Point?
When a wise or fool speaks or writes a personal opinion, it in a sense is similar to shooting an arrow into the wind, regardless if the opinion is, or is not, based on truth.
My point is if we do not allow free speech, how can anyone discern if the shooter is shooting a straight (righteousness) or a crooked (wickedness) arrow?
In My Opinion
There is a difference when Big Tech edits a site that is sending blueprints on how to construct a bomb or gun over the web to someone voicing an opinion which may or may not be based on a truth.
King Solomon observed that once an arrow is shot in to the air, same as an opinion, if it is not based on a truth, while it parts the air, the air closes over it to cover up its path. If the opinion not based on a truth, it never will hit the target. (truth).
The conundrum is to question if only one arrow is allowed to be shot and even though it is based on wickedness, while it parts the air only for an instant, there is no way for the second arrow to be shot at the target of truth.
In other words, if there is no second arrow based on rightness, there is no way to discern if the arrow is based on righteousness or wickedness.
In my opinion, sending a bomb plan has nothing to do with free speech and anyone with common sense should be able to discern the wisdom or folly of allowing information how to make a bomb should not be allowed by either Big Tech, Government. or etc. etc.
However, to discern if words or opinions are based on truth, Big Tech or Government should never be allowed to discern what is truth or mark.
Coincidently a mark is a description of a fool used by con artists to identify someone easily fooled.
Will we humans ever wise up and allow ourselves not to be targets or marks and trust opinions according to this following proverb advice.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverb 3:5)
Which breastplate to guard holiness and truth should we choose if we are not given the opportunity to discern the opinions because we do not allow freedom of speech by Big Tech Government, News Media, Political Parties, News Commentators, etc. etc.?
