The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate and ancient wisdom verses and clues for interested readers to discern the commonality of these issues in both history and our contemporary times.
Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your ancestors. (Proverb 22:28)
Whoever digs a pit may fall into it; whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake. The one who quarries stones may be injured by them, and he who splits logs endangers himself.… (Ecclesiastes 10:8-9)
Taiwan – “China claims Democratically ruled Taiwan is its own territory to be brought under its control by force if necessary.”
Civil War -States Rights – The opposing belief is that the Civil War was fought over states’ rights. Southern states claimed that their rights were being taken away by the federal government with their voices being diminished and slavery being taken away. The above are all clues to the observation made by King Solomon about the vanity of man to repeat the same follows of previous generations in the following verse.
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
In My Opinion
If an interested reader after reading the source links below cannot discern the clues to this conundrum, comment your question and I will give you, my opinion.
Will we humans ever wise up to spend the time to discern the consequences of ignoring the lessons and experienced of follies in past generations being repeated over and over and over again because of the vanity to believe we are wiser than the ancient wiseman and advise to purist wisdom and love in the Bible.
