Why are Chicago shootings statistics higher?

The Chicago Tribune article titled: New York and Los Angeles got their gun control violence under control, why can’t Chicago? reported the following statement:

Something changed in the early 1990s. It didn’t happen overnight, but over the last 30 years, Chicago’s gun violence rate began to diverge from these other cities. Today, our city’s homicide rate is three times that of LA’s and five times that of New York’s.”

My guess is Chicago gangs are driving up Chicago same as the Capone days comment in the article.

Except, instead of alcohol, the commodity is drugs.

However, the core reason is lack of school vouchers and school choice.

If you study the demise of Christian schools closing in Chicago because parents cannot afford to pay tuitions, especially in poverty areas and Black areas, single family areas, there is a correlation to waning of teaching in depth religious values along with generations never introduced to religious values,

Compare religious school closings dates to the chart in this article, the correlation becomes apparent.

Add the Supreme Court ruling date to not allow any prayers in public school.

In other words, as the above cartoon states, the child believes dogs are born good, but not humans.

The child is wiser than Chicago legislators. The child is as wise as King Solomon who wrote the following proverb which agrees children need to be taught how to be good, wise, and loving.

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it. (Proverb 22:6)
