on a fast track to occur and/or “be unearthed?”
The Chicago Tribune – NYT – Solomedia article titled: As Earth Warms, History Unearthed, is condensed reading based on a based on a reported
It’s a grim inside joke among glacial archaeologists that their field of study has been one of the few beneficiaries of climate change. But while retreating ice and snow makes some prehistoric treasures briefly accessible, exposure to the elements threatens to swiftly destroy them.
“One of the few beneficiaries of climate change. But while retreating ice and snow makes some prehistoric treasures briefly accessible, exposure to the elements threatens to swiftly destroy them.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb, an idiom, and a reminder of earth’s history that there have been six mass distinctions of life on earth that have occurred because of climate changes, which are believed to have occurred because of deforestation fires according to a National Geographic article.
King Solomon
What has been will be again, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
Idiom – fiddle while Rome burns
To take little to no productive action during a crisis. The phrase refers to the legend of the Roman Emperor Nero playing the lyre as Rome burned down.
What’s My Point?
In a previous post titled: Practical / Spiritual Wisdom to Reduce Carbon Emissions Conundrum? gaging the number of few ‘hits’ from interested readers, I believe I can assume that climate change is not a ‘hot topic’ many people are interested in reading.
We humans seem to be more interested in the other articles. For example, in the Chicago Tribune such as Congress inability to pass trillion-dollar bills without having sufficient tax dollars, etc. etc., than archologists trying to save prehistoric articles being found under the fast-melting glaciers being preserved.
My point is to wonder why that saving the prehistoric articles has any meaning when the next earth extinction takes place, same as what has already occurred six times that extinguished vast numbers of life on earth?
In My Opinion
We humans need to wise up to observe what occurred in history according to both King Solomons verse and the idiom.

Your Decide
If after reading the links, you decide if we humans are wise or fools to make promises for example,“Experts and observers said fulfilling the pledge will be critical to limiting climate change, but many noted that such grand promises have been made before — to little effect to end deforestation or plant trees, by 2030, while Congress and the World Organizations “fiddle around,” in the meantime, while the forests burn or are cut down for profit, and archologist grimly laugh trying to save artifacts from the past extinctions caused by deforestation and fires. .

We can ignore (deny) the science, kick back and watch nature take its course, or, accept the science, blame nature and not humans (because blaming humans has a price tag for trying to mediate the threat and just enriches companies and corrupt politicians), or, accept the science and try to mediate the problem. Anyway you look at it humans are a part of nature, therefore, we adapt to survive or we die off.
