Should school boards remove or require printed warnings in book passages or not allow unlawful sexual acts be available in school libraries that are not parochial to the issue of truth and facts in order to educate rather than indoctrinate juvenile minds on the subject of sex education?

The Chicago Tribune. AP, article titled: Conservatives Take Aim at Educators, brought up the plight of parents concerns in the following statements

:” took an abrupt turn and a parent started reading aloud sexually explicit passages from a book available in school libraries.”

““Labeling this as a ‘conservative’ issue is a disservice to parents and their children. We should embrace parents wanting to engage with their children’s education, not label them,” Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Below, a Republican, said in a statement Thursday.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient wisdom verse, word definitions, and my opinion of what parents and school boards need to do to resolve the ongoing controversy of education vs indoctrination, issue in schools.

Differences Between Education and Indoctrination

“The difference between education and indoctrination is vast, but it is often subtle when the mind thinks of these two subjects. Education involves the seeking of facts, and learning about what is the truth, and what is not. Indoctrination is aimed at influencing people to believe in facts, without being able to back up these newfound facts with anything but opinion.”

Parochial Definition – Merriam Webster

: confined or restricted as if within the borders of a parish: limited in range or scope (as to a narrow area or region)

King Solomon

Teach your children right from wrong, and when they are grown, they will still do right. It is a proverb: A young man according to his way, even when he is old, he will not depart from it. Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Google Reference Proverb 22:6)

What’s My Point?

Schools should teach parochial facts. The fact is the book passages was about a minor engaging in a sex act with an adult.

The book passage read at the school board is in fact both unlawful and a risky health issue which may occur to infect a child with a sexual transmitted deadly disease.

My point is to question why this book passage is not blacked out so as not to prevent a juvenile from being indoctrinated rather than educated about the health risks of engaging in the sexual action described in the passage.

In My Opinion

Education should teach right from wrong.

Both the scientific proof is any engagement by a virgin male and female, absent an inherited sexual disease at birth, will not result in a health risk.

The secular parochial view of sex is it is an action which can or may result in to produce a child rather than a disease.

A religious parochial view of sex is a blessing bestowed on a family to produce a family.

In other words, while there is a difference in secular or religious word definitions of parochial, if a sex act is unlawful or risk a child’s health, the child must be educated to understand the passage in the book is a wrongful action and educated to prevent a juvenile from being indoctrinated to believe if they engage in the action there is no health risks or it is lawful rather than unlawful according to mms laws.

Also In my opinion, instead of parents continue to object in school boards or secular court suits, they should vote for legislators to pass school vouchers so they can afford to send their children to their rather than the governments choice of schools they have in their first Amendment Rights of freedom of religion.

School vouchers are no longer a Constitutional Issue. All that is required now is for concerned parents to elect legislators to support their concerns to teach their a right instead of a wrong path to follow in the future.

You Decide

If an action is unlawful or risks a health hazard to a juvenile, is it right or wrong to allow the child to read a book without a specific warning in the passage printed in the book before the printed passage in order to be available in a school library to educate the child rather than indoctrinate the child?

Should this issue be describing as only a political Conservative issue by new media which implies that the issue is political rather than a parent’s concern for what is being taught to their children in a public secular school that is unlawful or may indoctrinate a child to without an educational warning to perhaps engage in a scientific proven health risk to their child?
