Did King Solomon believe that Spirituality can be both taught and inherited, if only….?

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate King Solomon ancient wisdom verses and beliefs to provide clues for interest readers to discern conundrum.

Definition of Spirituality and Meaning – Merriam Webster

1: something that in ecclesiastical law belongs to the church or to a cleric as such

3: sensitivity or attachment to religious values

4: the quality or state of being spiritual

Definition of Inherited and meaning – Merriam Webster

1a: to receive from an ancestor as a right or title descendible by law at the ancestor’s death

b: to receive as a devise or legacy

2: to receive from a parent or ancestor by genetic transmission inherit a defective enzyme

3: to have in turn or receive as if from an ancestor inherited the problem from his predecessor

4: to come into possession of or receive especially as a right or divine portion and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters … for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life— Matthew 19:29 (Revised Standard Version)

What’s My Point?

Most people with religious faith believe that every person is born with both a body and spiritual soul which upon their death will return to God, the Creator of Heavens and Earth.

In our contemporary times religious beliefs are waning and many people are never taught to believe in a soul and spirituality.

Yet if we discern this conundrum and compare our contemporary beliefs that we inherit genes from our parents which are apparent in body and mind physical traits, it becomes easily recognizable to a parent.

My point is even if a child is never taught religious beliefs about souls and spirituality in their youth, we often can recognize the either good or bad spiritual behaviors inherited from their parents.

For Example

If a child displays a love for music talents from a parent, we may believe it is from a gene of the parents.

However, we may not believe when a child of a criminal parent grows up that it is inherited from the gene. In our contemporary times we instead believe the child was taught or influenced by a bad example parent.

Yet, not all children will behave or emulate by inheritance the same as either a good or bad parent in their lifetimes.

Which brings up the conundrum, if perhaps the belief in spirituality and souls is taught to a child who may not have received the genes for musical talents of a parent, would he or she never love music or emulate their parents’ behaviors or talents in life?

Which brings up another aspect of this conundrum if valid, is the question why the belief of spirituality is an Ecclesiastes Law according to the above Merriam Webster definition, and unlawful to be taught in a public secular school curriculum?

In My Opinion

The answer to this conundrum is to discern King Solomon’s Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of this conundrum.

In my opinion, we need to be spiritual examples and teach our youth God’s Laws to allow his Spirit to enter our souls, and our world will be a better place over time.

You Decide

If after reading, is it wise or foolish to believe that we humans are all born with both body and spiritual soul/

Is it time to return to teaching our youth to believe every good and righteous talent we have is possible because of His Blessing of inheritance to live on his earth and heaven, if only we spend time to discern this conundrum in our contemporary times?

Regards and goodwill blogging.
