Interested in how Illinois by having the highest pot taxes in the Nation is losing tax revenues for Illinois is helping to increase profits and markets for illegal sales of recreational marijuana. And some practical tips what users can do to save big bucks after becoming addicted to regular use?
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Corporate and Underground worlds divided reported:
“Still, illegal sales in Illinois totaled more than $2 billion in Illinois in 2021, market analyst New Frontier Data estimated, exceeding the less than $2 billion for high-priced and highly-taxed, but lab-tested, legal sales.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient wisdom verse, a health question, and information available for either pot heads how to save big bucks after they become regular users of recreational marijuana, but supposedly not addicted?
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to crave strong drink lest they drink and forget what is decreed, depriving all the oppressed of justice. 6Give strong drink to one who is perishing, and wine to the bitter soul. Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.… (Proverbs 31:4-6)
Smoking will stunt your growth
That said, anyone who smokes should have more than enough reason to quit and in reality, some loss of height is really the least of your worries.
What’s My Point?
One of the reasons legislators promoted legalized recreational marijuana was supposedly to reduce illegal sellers which obviously has not worked according to the Chicago Tribune article.
My point is all Illinois did was to increase the market for use of recreational marijuana by legalizing the use of a chemical substance to increase health problems of users in the future, same as cigarettes did accomplish in past generation.
In My Opinion
The supposed tax revenues will not be sufficient to treat the health problems of users of recreational marijuana health problems in the future
Regular users will in time switch to illegal users to save money by avoiding highest State taxes in the Nation, which is opposite effect than legislators who approved and promoted claimed.
Add that in Illinois laws, it is illegal for users to grow marijuana on their own for recreational users but not for users who use for medicinal purposes who also pay less taxes than recreational users.
In other words, in spite of ancient advice for leaders to not engage in recreation use of drugs because it they do, they cannot administer justice to the poor, Illinois legislators did the opposite. However, they did agree to allow those in poverty to engage in smoking marijuana so they can forget their misery, which high taxes have imposed on them so they can become unhealthier while decreasing their finances, which will be the least of their worries by choosing to engage in ingesting a chemical substance that the CDC, and Federal ad mistered agency warns against them doing.

I wonder if an investigative reporter dove into discovering who has profited the most from the Illinois Bill to pass recreational marijuana, which was originally presented in a referendum to help fund schools, and only received less than 3 percent of the tax revenues, after Illinois legislators approved recreational marijuana, and opposite of the Federal Government Health Agencies medical advice?
If we read the advice of how smoking affects your growth, and relate it to Illinois high taxes and restrictions to grow your own, should the warning also give a possible clue about who is who is providing most and administering justice least in Illinois? \
If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still.? (Ecclesiastes 9:4)
