Where did the shooter obtain the drugs, he was high on when he fired 83 bullets of carnage on innocent victims?
If shooter was high on cannabis when he shot at the Highland Park victims, should the person or persons who sold him the cannabis also share blame to help fuel him same as his father for sponsoring his FIOD card to buy the gun?
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb to this conundrum.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: (Proverb 1:5)
Wise counsels. —Literally, arts of seamanship: i.e., guiding himself and others aright through the “waves of this troublesome world.”
What’s My Point?
I read an article that stated the shooter admitted to being high on drugs when hie shot his victims, but unfortunately cannot find it now on google.
My point is if indeed he was on drugs at the time, and was a cannabis addict as an article below claims, should the seller of the cannabis, same as the father who sponsored his son FOID card which enabled him to purchase the gun, also share blame for helping to fuel the shooter’s twisted mind motives?
In My Opinion,
All we hear in the news are opinions that we need to get rid of guns to end “the waves of this troublesome” USA world of violence.
However, in a previous Post I voiced a concern that it is the combination of guns and drugs that fuel the majority of violence in the USA, yet we only focus on guns as being the answer to reduce the violence.
Yet, every policeman knows that the majority of violence is the result of the total failure of the 50-year war on drugs because they see firsthand that the majority of persons they arrest are on drugs, involved in the sale of drugs, or have mental issues, many the result of becoming drug addicts.
Yet when for example, legislators in Illinois listened to the concerns of the police, but did not hear their warnings that to legalize marijuana for recreational purposes, the legislators in effect added fuel to “the wave of troublesome world, “in my opinion.
So, if it is ever revealed that the shooter was indeed a cannabis addict and was high at the time, same as the father who signed for the gun, should the legislators who sponsored legalized marijuana and the voters also share the blame for the carnage?

If after reading, would you agree there is a direct correlation between both guns and drugs fueling the violence in the USA?
And if somehow the USA managed to somehow obtain all 400 million guns in the USA, and does nothing about the drugs, will violence end or be reduced in the USA?
Were the legislators wise to promote use of recreational marijuana in the USA knowing there are 400 million guns now in the hands of citizens who for some reason, not all are using their guns to shoot or commit crimes? Perhaps because they have been taught religious values in their youth it is a mortal sin to kill another human being?
