The Chicago Tribune article today titled: Water crisis looming in Sloviansk, reported more about the misery of residents living in Ukraine war zones.

I also read a Big Think Blog Post titled: Marcus Aurelius’ son was a murderous psychopath. Is Stoicism to blame? The first thing that came to my mind after reading was to relate Putin, to wonder whether we should all believe in reincarnation or the wisdom of King Solomon Ecclesiastes verses?

The Purpose of This Post.

Is to relate an ancient wisdom verse, and word definition for interested readers to discern this conundrum.

And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done.

Big Thing Excerpt

““…trains himself to swallow stones and worms, slivers of glass and scorpions without nausea;”

What’s My Point

Religious beliefs and various philosophies over the centuries are based on various teachings of cultures since the beginning of recorded history.

In our contemporary times no one yet has scientific proof to prove any of religious or philosophic theories of reincarnation vs heavenly reward.

My point is to compare the philosophy of Stoics to the Big Think article vs. the Ecclesiastes verse for interested readers to discern to believe whether Putin is the incarnation of the 300 BC Aurelius, Stalinism, Stoicism, Psycho,

Philosophy, or the wisdom of King Solomon’s verse and observation of humans recorded 3000 years ago.

In My Opinion

My religious faith and personal choice are the Ecclesiastes verse instead of reincarnation because history as proven King Solomon’s verse to be accurate based on the number of wars recorded in history for all the various reasons.

As for Putin being stoic or a reincarnation of Aurelius’ or psycho like his his son. If we consider the fact that in our contemporary times, in just my lifetime, I have witnessed the results of USA involvement in numerous World Wars and conflicts, all which in my opinion, are repeats of what King Solomon observed.

In other words, every generation in recorded history has likely experienced numerous nations leaders’ decisions to declare war for various reasons at the expense of human lives, misery, treasure. And their reasons simply because, in my opinion. we humans just cannot seem to wise up.

Most likely also in my opinions, because of what is being taught by example, Hollywood movies glorifying war, and even by various cultural leaders who exhibit Stoicism by continue to repeat to engage in war for long periods of time while fellow humans endure the misery of war.

You Decide

Incarnation, Stoicism, or King Solomon’s above verse, and in addition to this e following observation he wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:17 along with what many humans in both ancient and our contemporary times keep chasing too often in our short lifespans on earth?.

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind.

 Regards and goodwill blogging.
